I wouldn't give up an elite shut-down CB like Revis for a QB in Cutler who has potential but has yet to lead his team to the playoffs, are you all kidding me? The man has a losing record after two+ seasons as a QB and you know what that means? He's not a winner yet and it would be crazy to trade the fucking farm for this "Superstar". Defense Wins Championships and I would go insane if the Jets front office traded a corner stone defensive player like Revis for Cutler. Since when was Cutler the next coming of Joe Montana anyway? Oh wow...He can throw the ball far...Big deal. Can he lead though? Is he a natural born leader? I havn't seen it yet. PASS on Cutler, we already have Kellen and Ratliff on the roster and QB's like Cutler will be in each and every draft...Believe me, he's not the "Last Gun Slinger with a good arm" to get drafted.
Does the fact that his Defense is always shit have anything to do with his record? In games where Denver scores 21 points or more, he's 13-1, the one loss coming when Brett Favre threw a retarded 80+ yards TD on the first play in overtime. Quit using his record to minimize his ability.
Cutler most likely going to the Redskins NFL.com and epsn are reporting that the Redskins have emerged as a top contender team for Jay cutler to land. Rumors are the Redskins are offering Jason Campbell and a 1st round pick for Cutler.
my crystal ball is working overtime tonight.. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=1203418&postcount=77
Good riddance. Then the answer to an earlier thread about where he'll end up... on his ass as often as his back in FedEx Field instead of Ford Field.
Don't see it happening, unless the Redskins offer a 1st this year, campbell and a 2nd next year. Skins are short on picks as it is.
You boggle my mind buddy. Has Revis led the Jets to the playoffs yet??? And to answer your question: Yes, I would give up an elite shutdown CB for an elite game-changing QB any day. The QB touches the ball every time he's out there... And I love Revis so don't give me shit for it. Anyone with half a brain would realize QB is the most dynamic position in the game, if you have a good QB you double your chances at making the playoffs year in year out. Noone is comparing Cutler to Montana, but you're making it seem like Clemens/Ratliff are comparible to Cutler. They aren't even close. Go watch some game film. Cutler had no problems facing our defense which included Revis, Rhodes and Harris which only proves to you how much of a difference a good QB can make.
If Cutler is traded to Washington, I hope the trade is made before the schedule is finalized. The Denver at Washington game must be a Sunday or Monday night game.
