    I think I'm just a LW--not sure if that's better or worse.

That just means you're a lightweight. Not a super lightweight like ME :)

Oh, and to CT. Jets Fan...

Just put him on ignore. Honestly, it's really not worth the aggravation of dealing with him because he'll post that same thing to you in 2 years as I'm sure he's got it on his spreadsheet what you said all those months ago. Seriously.

He's on my ignore list now. I finally realized for good that it's not worth my time to argue with someone like him. Every time I take him off of my ignore list to give him the benefit of the doubt, he quickly reminds me about why he was on there to begin with. I suggest you do the same.

What's pathetic and sad all at the same time is that the transferability issue was discussed here months ago ad nauseum, having been last mentioned one more time by yours truly on or about January 21, 10 days before the final deadline to transfer tickets within one's family. Several people, including 314 and others, took advantage of it, so it was worth posting again.

So most people who have been frequenting the board knew about this issue last fall, and to anyone who has been an avid reader here, this is truly old news, as Champ says. My tickets are in my son's name, have been since mid-January.

Has anyone who was at the front of the line (ie. holders since 1977) heard anything back from the lovely PSL salespeople? I had my chat recently, and told them I will politely decline for the PSL. They asked why, how come, what's wrong, etc. I just said I refuse to "waste money on a declining investment." The guy Fitz took exception to what I said, and I had to cut him off in the middle of his rebuttal. Anyway, back to the reason for my question...I have heard stories from co-workers about the Jets asking some of the senior ticket holders how much they'd be willing to pay for some of the $10,000+ PSL's? Just wondering if anyone on the board has been approached with this phone call? And wondering if it's true, that the PSL salespeople are wondering what the true market value might be, and if they are willing to make any deals? I'm closely monitoring Mets/Yankees tickets, and they are available to anyone who wants them, if you want to cough up the big bucks. I've even heard callers on WFAN say that the Yankees are now coming back to old season ticket holders, asking if they want to buy partial ticket packages starting at $45 per game. So in light of all of this, just looking for a little info from anyone who might have been contacted a second time by the Jets.

Well being one of the 77 group I was contacted over a month ago & my rep was Mike & maybe then they were not as desperate as they are now since we were not offered any special terms. Certainly they attempted to sell us a PSL & they used the "legacy" pitch on us so my son said what legacy are U talking about since the last time the NYJs were World Champions was 40 years ago & at that point Mike terminated the conversation so we put in for our non PSL UD seats. Since that contact the NYJs have not recontacted us

My "rep" said they won't be going to Phase II until May, so if they stick to their schedule (if they're even still on it), they won't be coming around contacting anyone until then.

Now, what would be interesting is if they come around earlier than that (someitme this month). If they do, that's probably a good indication that things aren't going well in the PSL sales department.

I heard sales are very sluggish and many are opting for the uppers with a wait and see attitude. I know a few guys who opted to the uppers and said if they dont like the seats they will stay the hell home.

Same here. I opted for the uppers. I don't get why anyone would commit to a PSL right now, there's a good chance if they don't sell the prices will come down. But if you already committed to $4K or $10K, they're not going to refund you when that happens.

The economic climate right now has to be putting a huge damper on the sales. Even if a corporation (and lets face it, individuals like you and I are NOT the ones Woody is targeting with these cockamamie PSLs... it HAS TO BE corporations at this point) would want to step up, it's considered obscene and in extremely bad taste to throw this kind of money around in today's economy.

All these companies are under strict observation by the media and others to behave responsibly and prudently, for both their shareholders and their employees. No CEO in his right mind is going to risk his job by tossing around $20,000 per PSL and pick up a block of 25 seats when the entire corporate world is being scrutinized by the press and TV. Not to mention if it's a bank or other corporate entity that has received bailout money... that's taxpayer's money they're receiving, and I'll be damned if I'd let them take that dough and use it for these cockamamie PSLs.

So yeah, Woody and Mara never expected that kind of headwind and they're going to be sucking hind tit trying to get this kind of money out of anyone. It certainly isn't coming from the fan base, so their only customer right now has to be corporations or LLCs or other business entities, and good luck with that right now. Serves the greedy bastards right.

I still feel like on a cold day in November I can drop $50 to get a good seat for a Jet game. I don't care if they're playing at the Waldorf-Astoria, bad Jets teams and freezing rain will drop the ticket prices in a hurry.

Believe it or not a guy who I work with who has had seasons since 1982 put in his choices, and he said "I put in for Upper Prime, Uppers, and Mezzanine Endzone". I told him that I hate to break it to you, but you're gonna be wearing the Mezzanine Endzone seats. They don't care what your seniority is, if one of your choices is a PSL, you will own it. Then I called him a dope for the exact reason you just stated " But if you already committed to $4K or $10K, they're not going to refund you when that happens ". So, there is one born every minute!!

It will be the opposite of the high school championships at Giants Stadium--packed upper deck and nobody downstairs.

They have a little bit of that at Devil games. The prime three sections along each side of the ice are premium seats, they often look empty on TV (maybe because everyone is at the bar that comes with them), upstairs are often full.

The entire shift is with where the dollar flows. The greedy bastards who own these teams today are only looking at revenue, period. Filled seats don't matter. Perceptions of a team (its success or failure) aren't predicated on how big a live audience they're performing in front of. Seats that are empty or filled don't pay the big dollars, which come from TV ads, sales of NFL gear, sponsorships and media exposure.

In other words, how many people are in attendance does not matter. Anything they get from seat purchases is gravy, obviously, or they'd treat the ticketholders with a lot more respect.

They don't, because they don't have to. In fact, porking the ticketholder is foremost on their minds, because it's "easy pickins." The stupid, emotional, NFL-addicted bastards will gladly give up their grandchildren's college education to go to a few live, meaningful games, even though they could have sat at home, watched on HDTV and saved all those dollars.

    Not this fan.

Maybe we'll only get to J-E-T-S JETS....... then have to stop since half the stadium is empty.

Add me to that list as well.

In fact I'm ready just to give my seats up now and get a big screen HDTV. I'm disgusted by the whole stadium deal.

My teenage son who will be driving soon wants a Hummer H3 hes got 1/2 the money ive got to come up with the rest. Good thing I bought that big screen HDTV when I did. I will miss it.

What good will our big screen HDTVs be when the games are blacked out?

(Though they probably wouldn't let that happen.)
