ive said it 100 times and the message doesnt change id like to keep our draft picks and give Clemens a legit shot. we have so many other holes to fill and so much lack of depth were 1 injury on each unit away from being at a range of garbage to mediocre. AND, as common sense kicks in and other posters have stated. The Broncos will be commanding picks and at least one proven defensive player. and seeing that Rex Ryan is our coach I dont see that happening. and I dont want to see it happen. on a sidenote I think Jay Cutler is extremely talented, but I'm not willing to watch the organization gamble the future for 1 player. but I really dont think the Broncos are in position to command alot of draft picks being that theyre out in the open saying Cutler doesnt want to be there, that diminishes alot of their leverage. I think they ask for 2 1st rds and a conditional pick. or a 1st rd pick and a quality starter on d.
They will get an excemption for Brady when he is put on the physically unable to perform list. Don't ever underestimate BB and I don't for a minute believe he is not considering a move for Cutler.
I feel the same way, I'd rather see what we have in Ratliff or see if Clemens can put it together behind some decent pass blocking. I like most of our top talent and definitely think the price will e too high for Cutler. But I still think Woody will throw the kitchen sink at him. I don't want it to happen and I still think it's a long shot anyway.
You think Brady is that far behind on his rehab? I'm up in NE and the Radios have been reporting he's on, but that doesn't exactly mean you're wrong. As you said BB, could disguise the sky.
I agree. I don't hate Cutler. But if they stick with Clemens or Ratliff, I am ok with that too. Denver does not have to trade Cutler, they put the word out that he is available, but if they don't get what they want, then he stays. Which I am guessing is at least two first rounders.
I just say we get him what ever it takes.... We need a QB !!! and he can step in today and we dont need to deal with the draft and play the QB of the futar game... Give them the 1st round(17th) pick Give them the 3rd round pick Give then middle linebacker David Harris to get him. I think this would get it DONE !!! DO IT NOW !!
Handicaps for where Cutler will go. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afcwest/0-3-1884/Where-could-Cutler-end-up-.html NYJ: 3-1 TB: 3-1 DET: 4-1 CHI: 5-1 CLE: 5-1 JAX: 8-1 SF: 8-1 WAS: 10-1 MIN: 12-1 TEN: 18-1 STL: 20-1 SEA: 25-1 PHI: 30-1 KC: 50-1
He had a terrible injury which usually takes 2 years. He had set back after set back with infections. I personally don't believe he will ever be the same. Does that mean he can't compete in a league with a handful of quality QB's no but the Pats are set up to have another 4 or 5 year run and Cutler gives them a second to none talent in his outright prime.
Is Cutler really as whiny and bitchy as everyone thinks he is? I ask this in all seriousness. Except for the whole trade blowup, what has he done to be considered bitchy? I'm just curious as someone who hasn't followed the Broncos that much over the past few years. Maybe he is, I don't know.
Yeah I don't think he'll be the same either. But one thing that bugs me about this is they had success with Cassel. Why let him go if they think Brady won't be ready?
The ONLY way I can see this happening is if Mangini is high on Clemens AND McDaniels is high on Quinn. Something like this: NYJ send Clemens and Bryan Thomas to CLE CLE sends Quinn to DEN NYJ send #17 and 2010 conditional (2-4 depending on Quinn's production) to DEN DEN sends Cutler to NYJ. I don't know why CLE wouldn't just trade for Cutler themselves instead of doing that though. I just don't see how the Jets can pull this off.
