Really, what players do the Broncos have other than Cutler? Marshall, Bailey(aging) and maybe some Oline guys. This team needs to be blown up, definitely on D.
hahaha! a guy that sits two cubicles down from me....is a diehard Bronco fan....he's relatively quiet this morning. Every 30 minutes or so...i make sure i stand up, point my finger at him and laugh......good times.
Hmm., that's a good point. Of course you are assuming that Cutler is the real deal. What makes you think he's any more likely to pan out than say one or more of the players we would get from the draft picks we give up?
And people are throwing McDaniels under the bus, when everyone knows that Bowlen is just as involved.
OK so they don't count, right? Losing Jay Cutler in a scumbag move was no big deal. What can I say? Your logic is truly astonishing, and we are all jesters in your court of omnipotent logic. That's their star player. Duh.
The minute McDaniels mentioned Cassel's name in February...he was DOA. It'll be fun to watch the Broncos go up in flames this season. Sidenote: Why the fuck would ANYBODY want Matt Cassel to begin with?!!
Rotoworld postings: Us vs. the Bucs, again? Well, we beat them in the off-season Super Bowl last year, only seems fitting. Of course, it is ironic that the two teams jockeying for the best available quarterback last year are jockeying for the best available quarterback this year. Perhaps wiser teams know not to fuck with Bus Cook.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d80f8ac5f&template=without-video-with-comments&confirm=true (Cutler is halfway through the six-year, $48 million contract he signed as the 11th overall pick out of Vanderbilt in the 2006 draft. He's 17-20 as the Broncos' starter, although that's misleading because of Denver's dismal defense. In games that the Broncos have allowed 21 points or fewer, Cutler is an impressive 13-1, and that only loss was to Green Bay in 2007 when the Packers won the coin toss and Brett Favre threw an 82-yard touchdown pass on the first play of overtime.) For those against, say what you want. He already proved he is a first round pick. The arguement that he is a risk is kinda far fetched considering a 1st round QB drafted this year is more risky. Which has been mentioned already. His attitude so fits whats going on here. If anything it would compliment the 'take it to you' mantra by the defense. I would love to see Cutler trying to one up the defense after they kill the opposition. "WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!"
You got it all wrong, man. McDaniels is a genius. This entire off-season, he has carefully and delicately put into place a plan to draft Sam Bradford. It's really quite brilliant.
What I am saying is alot of these players will be gone in a year or two anyway. It is called rebuilding.
Wasn't Corey Dillon a cry baby? How about Randi Moss, Dwayne Thomas and if I'm not mistaken Lawrence Taylor was not exactly a loved team mate. There is a little itch that tells me Mr. Brady may not be ready and the Pats have more draft picks and expandible talent than anyone. Don't be surprised if Mr. Malcontent ends up on the Pats especially since McDaniels seems to have a made crush on the Pats Players and it wouldn't surprise me to see BB tool him.
I wholeheartedly agree. The guy had 1 single year...a good year, in a great system with goto guys. His reads got better by the end, but big deal. I don't see it at all.
hahaha! ...McDaniels' corpse will be hanging from the scoreboard at Mile High...long before he gets to draft Bradford.
I dunno Win. How in the hell could they afford to keep Cutler and Brady? You could be right, but that seems like an awful long shot.
If you trust Tannenbaum in evaluating QB talent, why don't you trust in the QBs he's already assembled? Cutler could be Peyton Manning...but he looks more like Jeff George right now...he's not a sure thing and the Jets should not get "taken" in trying to obtain him.
