U have NO way of knowing for sure, sure that the teams WILL NOT decide to really/truly dome the stadium. ALL I said it was a POSSIBILITY & if they decided to do so they could then decide to charge another PSL for that cost

Well the 150M each the NYJs & NYGs got from the NFL is a LOAN & has to be repaid ASAP as I understand the terms & conditions of that loan

That's the other thing. It is downright STUPID in this day and age to build a stadium that DOES NOT make provision for some sort of roof or slider, especially in the NE. If for no other reason, you do it for other venues (concerts, monster trucks, horse shows, whatever).

Yeah, I know, "I don't want no stinkin' roof, I like to take my shirt off, wear war paint, get stinkin' drunk and freeze my gonads off." The fucking Neanderthals never think some day they're gonna be my age and might want a little comfort. At least you'd have the option.

Christ, give the ticketholders SOMETHING on which to base these expensive PSLs. It's the height of arrogance, I tell you.

Jerry Jones is also having mucho difficulties selling PSLs for his new palace down there in Dallas if the newspapers are accurate. He also has a huge blackout problem cause he went for a 100,000 seat stadium so his chances of a blackout are even higher. U know the Jags found away around the rule by putting a tarp over sections of seats & saying they are not selling tix for them & that is how the networks have been able air the Jags home games there

I have a stub from 94 & it is all of $25.00 for the seat when we move to the UD I will be paying $125.00. I wonder if some smart whiz out there can do the actuary & tell us what $25.00 is worth in todays money

That's a great point, Champ...and remember, Jones started selling his PSLs a year before the Jets/Giants, in what was then a far more healthy economic climate.

Reading that gave me a warm feeling inside. I enjoy when Jerry Jones fails. TO, PSL's, no playoffs, Pacman. Keep piling on.

Jerry Jones is a pompous, arrogant jerkoff. I think of Robert Kraft the same way. Al Davis might fit into that category were it not for the fact that he doesn't even know what time of day it is and is therefore senile.

But Woody is younger and should have more sense. He's the heir to the huge J&J fortune, having been gifted ludicrous amounts of J&J stock which has multiplied ad infinitum. In essence, the man has probably not physically toiled one single day in his entire life.

I don't have a problem with that, but I am calling on Mr. Johnson on this forum, right here and right now, to reconsider this entire program and to make it right. It's the right thing to do.

Funny, you might have something. In the current financial state of the country, Woody could dispose of the PSL idea. Maybe keep it for the high roller seats only. By doing this he would piss off the Giants fans and endear himself to the Jets fans, quite possibly picking up some new fans along the way. That would be some interesting spin.

I do not believe this to happen but it is just an idea.

that would be an interesting spin! i highly doubt it would happen in the greed laden ranks of nfl owners, actually i bet the nfl wouldnt allow it :)

didnt bobbie kraft do a psl a few years ago too? too bad he didnt take it in the ass, although its nice that all those new patsy fans are and will continue to. unemployment is as bad there as it is here. honey i lost my job and i cant afford these expensive tickets so ummm that 30k we had saved away that was part of our retirement that i promised we would make back in 10 years when i sold it.... umm yeah we are never going to see that money again. all because i started to like this team when they started winning a few years ago.

don, the cable thing works actually. you dont HAVE to have cable, you dont HAVE to have a telephone. if you were to talk about power or water then i could see your point but you sure do have a choice to have cable. if not i suggest you take a really deep look at the status of your life :)

Didn't all of the Jets/Giants fans who have been renewing their season tickets every year have some sort of contractual renewal rights which are now being unilaterally terminated, with no recourse. All you get is a gigantic stinkin' invoice at unrealistic prices, with the attitude, take it or leave it. Well the Giants have now gone through over 30,000 people on the waiting list, and there are still tons 'o seats still left. Isn't this a telling sign?

I found an online calculator that adjusts for inflation. I put in $25 for 1994 and it came out as $34.56 in 2007 (the data only went as far as 2007).

I don't know how accurate it is but I'm sure the correct number would be far below $125. The Jets have done nothing to increase the inherent value of the tickets.

that would be classic and just like every year prior to 2001 :)

badger i dont know about those numbers but like you said it sure as hell isnt 125!!!!!

maui thats exactly what is happening they are screwing everyone they can. it really really burns my ass that they are even allowed by the nfl to do this. but that is part of the reason i have such a bug in my ass towards them maybe even more so than the teams themselves.

i would LOVE to see something happen in court, i dont think it will happen but hey wtf do i know about law :) i would also love to see every team that has done this suffer from it! (does anyone know where we could get info about who has psls in their stadium?)

the only and i mean ONLY good thing about this piece of shit stadium, yes i spelled it out because i am annoyed by it! (my anger deserves more than pos!!!) is that it pretty much guarantees that johnson isnt going to move the team, at this point at least.

    Here's something I found on footbalpsl.com

    November 9th, 2008

Aside from the New York Giants and the New York Jets, there are fourteen other NFL teams that have ventured into Personal Seat Licenses. Here are the price ranges for other NFL team PSLs.

    Baltimore Ravens: $750-8,000
    Carolina Panthers: $2,300-8,500
    Chicago Bears: $ 3,000-6,000
    Cincinnati Bengals: $300-1,500
    Cleveland Browns: $375-1,500
    Dallas Cowboys: $16,000-150,000
    Green Bay Packers : $600-1,400
    Houston Texans: $600-4,200
    Oakland Raiders: Abandoned in 2006
Philadelphia Eagles : $2,500-4,000 (sold out)
Pittsburgh Steelers : $250-2,700 (sold out)
    Seattle Seahawks : $2,000-3,000
    St. Louis Rams : $250-4,500

Dallas is not on ur list

You can also put NE on the list as Kraft instead of charging a PSL really boosted the price of a season tix so in essence he also charged a PSL

great info maui thanks for it!!!!

i did not think there were that many teams that had instituted a psl, i guess you dont really give a shit until it affects you. this also makes me think someone out there has to have tested this in the past and failed. the only way to really get it to stop is to not buy them and tell those that you know not to buy them.

i am interested in the raiders abandoning a psl note that is there. also the eagles and steelers say sold out next to them, does that mean that the rest of these teams have not sold out there psls?

and seriously WTF were the cowboys thinking? their minimum psl is higher than every other teams highest psl. actually DOUBLE the next highest HIGH SIDE. the ravens at 8k.

of course thats leaving the jets and giants out of the mix.

so in actuality the psls sucked a fat one since they were instituted but just now in the last 2 years have they gone out of fuckin control with the jets, giants and cowboys. what has happened in the last 3 years to make this happen? other than the fact these are larger market teams so they feel they can stick it in more peoples asses?

hmm interesting roger goodell was appointed on august 8th 2006, 4 years ago. i have to wonder what part that scumbag played in the fact these psls are so far out of control? it seems to me that the douchebaggery we have in the nfl on a number of different levels coincides with this cock sucking tool becoming commissioner. although i very well may be completely wrong. :)

i forgot about that! damnit!!!!! that ruins my dream of conversations in patsyland.

http://library.kraftsportsgroup.com/seating_chart_popup.html i dont know the age of this but it appears to be current.... those prices are FAR LESS than the prices the jets will be charging. wow lower level sidelines $169 lower and mezz corner and endzones both $117......hmmm and those fucks didnt have to pay a psl? something isnt right here, do i have bad info?

that info was taken from http://www.patriots.com/stadium/index.cfm?ac=TicketSales
