He hasn't proven anything? He's been shredding NFL defenses for a couple of years now. There aren't a lot of QB's who have started there careers better than Cutler.
Can he appear in a playoff game before we give up first rounders or a whole draft for him? Appear. In one.
Look, he has had a decent start, but two first rounders, for a guy who has yet to even start a playoff game? Seems a bit much to me. I mean he is 17-20 as a starter.
He is a franchise QB HE IS THE DENVER BRONCOS. 25 years old with a rocket arm & a cheap contract the Jets are Super Bowl contenders with a player like that. Guys put so much stock in draft picks I could make a list of Jet 1st round picks & call it Who is the biggest bust.
You're clearly against Cutler coming to the Jets....and that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. I just have one question.....who would be a better alternative? And if you say Clemens or Ratliff...I'll puke....because i said a "BETTER" alternative....
Who could we get this year & next year with our 1st round picks that you are sure will make a bigger impact on this team than Cutler? Nobody thats who
As opposed to first rounders who have proven less? They haven't even been picked yet and you're putting value on them.
Put him on a team with a solid defense, o-line and running game and I garauntee you he would be in the playoffs. He can't play NT.
LOL what I was trying to say is when you think of the Broncos you think of Cutler right off the bat he is the face of that team.
And after you give up 2 first rounders for him he'll have the worst contract you can imagine because he won't report until you do that. Good luck with that. His contract is going to wind up in the Peyton Manning range by the time this is all said and done, because whoever trades for him is going to have so much on the line that they won't be able to say no to his contract demands.
plus it will open up lanes for TJ/Leon.....with our current QB situation...teams will stack 8 in the box all day.
If you've actually watched Cutler play, then you know he has the goods. The talent is there, and he has enough moxie to stay strong in the Playoffs. Do you really think when he makes the Playoffs, all of the sudden - he's going to lose these skills he has?
Teams work out the new contract before the deal is done they make sure they can sign the guy before doing the deal.
I agree, dude is pretty clutch he single handily won a lot of games for the Broncos last year, I really wouldn't mind getting Cutler I mean what do we have to lose? he's cheap, I think he would like Rex Ryan as a coach
