No surprise. I wonder who's gonna cover the TE in Cleveland?

Rex keeps signing former Ravens, Mangini keeps signing former Jets, but the difference is Ryan's recruits make the team better. I don't know if Mangini's will though. Although I feel Barton is the best ex-Jet he has signed by far.

eh I dont know about that necessarily, Scott and Leonhard yes but then again i dont think its fair to say how great Corey Ivy and Marquees Douglass are going to be

Barton can tackle and...well thats about all he can do

    Yeh, seriously!

I would have liked Barton back, but I was happy Mangini has taken the rest of his losers with him, so they don't come back here

    We signed Ivy?

I think if the draft goes the way Mangini would like it to go, the Browns are oing to have a nasty crew of linebackers. Wimbley, Jackson, Davis and either Brown, Orakpo or Curry? With Willie and Barton in reserve? Not too shabby.

Barton has been a good player for us,Good tackler and a nose for the ball.

I always felt he never got given enoough credit.Probably becasue he played along side more popular ILBs.

Decent player, not terrible, but nothing spectacular either. The thing I remember the most about him was taking a horrible penalty in a playoff game that almost cost us the win...

Barton had a history of making extremely costly mistakes at critical times--specifically committing personal fouls. He couldn't cover for jack--I was so tired of seeing the back of his uniform most of the game.

That said, he has a good attitude and if he only has to go straight ahead, he gets the job done.

He can be exploited by just about every OC in the league. Better that he be gone.

I am pretty sure Barton was signed to be a starter.

Same. He also played behind D-Rob during most of his tenure here and had to pick up a lot of slack from FS and DBs which made him look a lot worse at coverage than he really was. Very underrated player IMO. I hope he does well in Cleveland.

Barton is okay with me. He was never great, but not as bad as some people say. Obviously Scott is a big upgrade.
