I have a football autographed by the great man :jets: http://www.amazon.com/Emerson-Boozer-Autographed-Throwback-Inscribed/dp/B000PNCFR8 http://yhst-53989527964283.stores.yahoo.net/ape-boozer-j.html
buying nfl merchandise is not going to happen for me. i will not give my hard earned money to people who do shit like seat licenses, ticket prices rising the way they have. beside the fact they especially the commisioner think they are in complete and total control of everything. no way in hell will i knowingly put more money than they get in advertising on games shown on national tv in their pockets. fuckin scumbags dont deserve a dime. i advise that you dont give them any of yours for shit that makes you look like a 12 year old anyway. i never did understand the phenomena known as grown men wearing football jerseys.
they get a small percentage, not all the cash. Teams get a piece, players get a piece, league gets a piece, and Reebok gets the big pie. Interesting fact: If you buy a Revis jersey, Kris Jenkins sees some of that money.
that is interesting, i did not realize that. however none of those people who see the money are deserving of it... from the teams who screw their fans and lie to them while charging out of control prices.... to the players who are making far more than they probably deserve for doing the job they do (i realize they are making others money that doesnt mean they deserve any more of MY money)... the scumbag league who is trying to get themselves a deal like espn for the nfl network even though it will NEVER HAPPEN, yes imagine owning something that received over 2 dollars a month for every single home that has television. but times are tough for them, sure they are. anyway in order to try and force peoples hands on this they put games on thursday nights so that people will complain about it to their service providers... oh wait they are also the ones allow the teams to do the wonderful things like seat licensing... reebok oh joy they are probably worse than any of the others. i would really rather not give any more money than necessary to a company who will simply have a slave worker put the item together, overseas hurting our economy while getting richer and richer. i really just cant justify putting any of the money i work hard for into any of those peoples hands.
I like the idea of getting jerseys not too many other people will have. I was rare with my David Harris jersey. I wanted to get a Richardson jersey. From your list, I picked Jenkins. Everyone has a Reevis jersey these days (although I do want one too. He's a GREAT GREAT guy. Met him at camp and he took all the time in the world to take pics with me and my kids. I appreciated that).
Im a grown man 12 yr old at heart and I wear a football jersey. I will continue to do so and when that punk comes along and tries to tell me I shouldnt be doing so. I will show him why I can.
NFL Shop has 30% off everything today for St. Pat's day...whooooohoooooo!!!! http://www.nflshop.com/home/index.jsp
yea last time they did this they raised the prices so you werent getting a deal. Becareful. Look custom replicas are now $100.00. Regular $80.. When they have $20 off sale they were listed as $90.00 now its $30 off so they bumped them to $100.00
My Keyshawn is now a throwback but the numbers are starting to chip off. If we re-sign Leon I might get a #29 if I have some money handy between now and the season.
Don't shoot the messenger, but the #1 selling jersey, according to my Sports Illustrated issue & Steinberg is, Brett Favre, New York Jets: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcsportsbog/2008/09/cooley_into_top_25_of_jersey_s.html
