So the cards are now shopping Boldin around the league and he wants a 9 million contract pey year long term. Hmmmm We have an opening and Tanny can clear the space if he wants

    Get it done!

Boldin, Cotchery, Keller, Leon Washington, Mangold, Ferguson will be one hell of an Offense for YEARS TO COME...Just about any QB would love an offense with those types of talents

Guarantee we don't get him. Not trying to be an asshole, but there's no way something this good is happening to the Jets.

I don't like this... Boldin is pretty old and would be expensive. I'd take a cheaper Holt any day.

Maybe it could be an incentive laden contract that allows him to lay out Eric Smith whenever he wants.

Holt does not whine and complain like Boldin does either.

Boldin is 28 years old and will turn 29 in the middle of next season (October). He's not old at all, and in point of fact, he's in his PRIME. Now, I would LOVE to sign a cheaper Torry Holt (because, as I have elaborated on in several posts already, even at his age, I still think he potentially has another 2 or 3 years as a top notch WR in the NFL) but I don't think I could pass up Boldin. Boldin is an elite NFL WR in the prime of his career. Holt is an elite WR well past his prime. Even though I think Holt in his prime was better than Boldin is now, I think it would be worth the extra money to grab a legitimate, elite WR in the prime of his career. And Don't get me wrong, I could see Holt giving us the same level of elite production as Boldin could over the next 2 to 3 seasons, however, then he'd be on his way out. With Boldin, We could still receive 5 to 6 seasons of elite production from him. I think he's worth it. Go get him, Tanny.

yeah, I don't know if he is being sarcastic or if he is just ignorant of the fact that Boldin is 28 years old, and thus, in the PRIME of his NFL career.

Not really.. he'll be 29 when the season starts, and I just don't see him as a true #1... I see him as a better version of Cotch.. but not the overall monster #1 WR I'd like.

He would probably be a number one on this team though.

Yea..1038 yards and 11 TDs on a team opposite Fitz sucks...

Oh, and that is in only 12 games.

Well yeah.. I'd assume that playing opposite Fitz would make anyone better.

I admit, 29 starting this season is not that old, but he's not exactly a spring chicken anymore either. I just feel like him and cotch wouldn't necessarily make the best duo, since they are the same type of player.

Yes, true, but I don't feel as if he has that speed that a true #1 would... but I don't know, I could be wrong... I don't necessarily watch lots of Cards games.

don't forget Tanny's M.O. for making trades. Show little to no interest, do your homework and then swoop in at the last minute.
