I hate hearing this garbage about how we need to fix this offense, yes things need to be done on both sides of the ball, but the problem last year was the defense, we need depth in our front seven, that needs to be the main focus, everyone talks about how we got these talented recievers but you guys want to draft a WR and for what, none of them are that good anyway this year, let it be, we arent going to just go and expect a SB every year, let these guys prove themselves, then see what we need later on, our offense has alot of weapons, and drafting a QB would be stupid as well, let clemens and ratliff do their thing and we see were it goes from there but in the end defense is important.

If our offense somehow sucks and can only score 21 points a game(which I highly doubt) well it wont be too bad if our D doesnt allow more then 20, hindsight is 20/20, we wont know shit untill next season is over, end of story, let our recievers go out there and show us what they got, and our QB's as well.

Ryan said he wants a run heavy team, and with Jones not really being that good and aging no one seems to talk about getting another RB in fa or the draft, that makes no sense to me. the only thing I can say we need on offense is maybe a good blocking TE, cause Keller is our passing weapon, this team doesnt need big time recievers if they want to be run heavy, you got Cotch, Stuckey, and Clowney who sure as hell can catch the ball and they have speed, plus keller whos fuckin killer and LW can catch and burn by defenses, so with so many options to throw to why worry about WR??????? this defense needs to be fixed.

Our secondary looks efficient, our linebackers have a huge possiblitiy of becoming nasty with Ryan and his crew teaching them new techniques and helping them build on their strentghs. Ryan was a DL coach so he will definatly be able to teach our dlinemen a thing or two, train them better, condition better, all this takes into account, we need the depth because our dline is old, with fresh young players in the mix of that DL our D will be sick, people are getting ahead of themselves, i have faith in our offense and our coach, this is where i stand with the whole draft and fa issue.

And all those artcles these sports anaylists write about us needing a qb and wr is bullshit, no one takes a real good look at the talent we really have because everyone thinks we suck, so fuck em, we are going to be ok. :metal::metal::metal::metal::jets:

We struggled to put up a consistent offense and cut our 2nd best receiver and haven't added anyone. There is a ton of time left in the offseason so I'm not worried but there is cause to be mildly concerned.

I get what your saying, but I felt our play calling was to blame for our bad offensive performances, and Farves interceptions

If you want your posting to be read, at least present it in a form that doesn't OFFEND anyone. Your posting, as it is, is highly offensive to my eyes.

I hate to break this to you, but the Jets are not in good shape. They have some bum playing RB.
If the Jets can somehow pry Ricky Williams away from Miami, all their problems will be solved.

You would be all for getting another RB in FA or the draft when we are already strong with Leon and Jones but your against drafting a WR when we just lost Coles? And this draft class is really strong as far as WR's go and Michael Crabtree is going to be a freaking beast in the NFL...I know we have no chance @ drafting Crabtree but I would love the Jets to trade up and draft our future #1 WR

As far as blocking TE's go...I'm all for going after Anthony Becht

And what has Clowney done in the NFL? Other than get injured and have a good preseason? And do you really feel that Stuckey can be a #2 WR?

The team is in good shape...But we MUST address the WR position with the 1st pick in the draft unless we plan on going with a QB like Sanchez because the bottom line is this...We may have a solid running game and a solid O-Line but we still need WR's who can make plays for our QB or else we will end up like Seattle from years back.

I like the potential that Stuckey has as a slot WR and I feel Clowney can be a good player, but we still need help @ WR

Are you kidding me? lol, you mean the Bum in Thomas Jones who led the way for the Bears offense when they went to the SB? The Bears D took them to the SB but we all know Rex Grossman had nothing to do with that and if not for Thomas Jones...The Bears would never had made the playoffs that year... You mean the bum that just rushed for the most yards in the AFC?

Put Thomas Jones behind a good O-Line and watch the man run with the best of em...The man STILL has another two or three years left in the tank and as for that pot head in Ricky Williams...I'll pass.

Who was the starter in Miami last year anyways? Ronnie Brown or Ricky Williams? Exaaccttlyyyy....When Ricky Williams can carry the work load without another back...Then come holla @ us with ur garbage

I'll post in a more serious fashion this time.

The Jets would be wise to get another back because the guy who is better than Ricky Williams is on the wrong side of 30 and is almost certain to break down this season or next. I am not fond of using a 1st round pick on a RB unless the guy is a can't-miss player like Billy Sims, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson, etc. There is no can't-miss back in this draft.

James Davis could be had on day two of the draft, but maybe getting somebody in the 2nd round would be better.

Donald Brown would be an excellent pick, but I don't think he'll make it to the 2nd round. I don't think Arizona would let him go by (Cards pick 31st overall).

I think the Jets would be wise to bring in a veteran wideout. Stuckey would be a good #3 wideout and until proven otherwise Brad Smith is a #4. Has Brandon Lloyd signed with anybody yet? I would definitely be okay with him being brought in. He's not a star, but I don't know that the Jets need one at that position for 2009. They will have to draft a wideout and hope that the guy is ready to start in 2010.

Don't worry about me, man. It was a joke. I was messing with a few posters at TGG who claim Jones would not have seen the field if he was a member of the spectacular 2008 Miami Dolphins.

its a gamble i know, but we can never know how good these guys will be untill they are tested, a rookie reciever with a 50/50 chance of being a bust is the same as just letting it be, and if he isnt a bust he wont a probowl reciever his rookie year, these things arent very likely to happen. The same with a qb, we saw clemens suck it up, but he had no online or running game, or defense, ratliff is unproven but preseason is better then a qb with one year college starting experience

    M.Lynch sucks?
    L.T Sucks?
    Ronnie Brown sucks?
Maroney sucks? (He got injured, but thats not Thomas Jones' fault)

I can go on and on...M.Jones Drew, Larry Johnson, D.McFadden

The AFC is full of talented backs and Thomas Jones rushed for the most yards
