If that was the case, it would have been [garbage can improves] don't you think?

This was the headline on ESPN:

Mangini raids Jets again: Browns ink CB Poteat

Priceless. I wouldn't exactly call a just above practice squad level 31y/o CB a raid.

I read it the same as -MC- several times in a row. I don't think it's so much about the sentence structure or grammar, rather it's just when someone reads the words "garbage" and "can" in sequence, it's difficult to think of it in any other way.

I didn't notice the "garbage can" thing, I was trying to figure out what "a garbage" is. Just one garbage?

He is a RFA. The Jets have the right to match any contract he is offered.

I think Poteat would be better suited for Mangini's system...

Yes, I was totally surprised when Coles went to an in-state division rival of the Browns.

Mangini is bringing in his role-players. Poteat was an excellent pickup for us 2 seasons ago, he was one of the few bright points, I was a big fan of his. But I saw last season that he had physiclly lost a step or just was not prepared. He'll probably be servicable to Mangini, but he might be getting to the point of being exposed as a liability.

Spencer sucked balls so i'm glad he's gone...Poteat i thought was real good, he would have been good for depth to go along with Revis, Sheppard, and Lowery... so the question is now who is the 4th corner?? for the love of god i hope it's not going to be Ty Law.

Right now the CBs are Revis, Sheppard, Lowery and Coleman (who sucks).

I'm surprised and in interviews they always say nice things about him. I guess he was more likable off camera.
