I trust any pickups we make defensively, especially with a guy who Ryan is already familiar with. I was annoyed with how we were ignoring offense this offseason, but when I think about it, I don't intend on winning many games on offense. I'd rather bulk up the D first. I like this, its new, the Jets actually have a plan this year. We have committed to building the defense and working from there rather than being all over the place like usual. I think this is smart.
hahaha.. hey at least they make it interesting.. they have great pre-seasons.. now if only we can carry that over into the regular season..
the thing is.. there is more offensive talent in the draft than in free agency right now.. we are definitely taking a WR with our 1st or 2nd pick..
haha but ryan is doing what he always did with the ravens, bulk up the D every off season and its the reason why their D has been good for so long
Indeed. I dont want to watch Kris Jenkins catching his breath the entire second half of the season again.
I really liked him with the Ravens got him and thought he would be more of an impact than he actually made. He put up some pretty good numbers in San Francisco and would make for a solid depth guy. I really can't remember why I liked him, if it was his rushing or rush D, but either way, I'm confident he could contribute.
how exactly can you agree with a question? Anyway, I think this would be a nice pickup, seeing as it seems we lost C.J. Moseley.
More info about him plus some reason season stats http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/football/jets/blog/2009/03/douglas_at_the_fort.html
Amen to that, it seems like these guys are actually putting the pieces together in a logical way for a change. Being that Rex is coming from a defensive mindset, the moves they've been making seem to make a lot of sense right now. Great offseason so far IMO.
Sweet hopefully he signs a contract, he's a good player for depth We still need a backup NT to spell Jenkins
