I don't know if its necessarily much of a reach though, but yeah it is certainly worth it..

    That last play is ridiculous.

The more footage I watch, the more upset I'll be if we don't draft him.

I really believe he, Cotchery and Keller could be a nightmare for opposing Ds.

Just another video of him....this catch is a pretty good demonstration of his concentration and hands, and at the end, his willingness for contact and his tenacity to fight for the extra yeards. I really hope Tanny and co. see this guy the same way as we do.

Even if the Jets don't draft Hakeem Nicks.......I will still be a huge fan.

The kid is a monster of a player.

Hakeem Nicks' style of play reminds me of Cotchery's style.
    And let's face it:
    2 Cotchery's > 1 Cotchery

Watching enough games on Hakeem Nicks, I would love for the JETS to get him or Kenny Britt in the first round. But the WR position is very deep this year and two guys that I would love for the JETS to pick up who run great routes and would complement Cotchery great right off the bat are Jarett Dillard and Kenny McKinely.

I still like Kenny Britt, I see Nicks is talent and the comparisons to Jericho Cotchery but we have Jericho Cotchery so why do we need another one. I like that Nicks is has a pro skill set but like what else can he do, its a consensus he is not great at getting separation and is not much of a speedster. Outside of Leon where is there speed on our offense, since no one seems to be in love with the speed guys I think you really have to consider Britt. While he probably is not as polished or pro ready as Nicks, Britt has more qualities that our offense seems to be lacking

Nicks reminds me of Michael Irvin.

I got to say... I love reading these posts... the award was most definatly an earned one... it obviously is hard work :up:

Sorry this is a bit off topic...

But now to the real response... Makllin may slide to us and if that happens we'd be crazy to pass on him. I'm not of the mind that that will actually happen, but it could. Personally, I do think Nicks will be there and that's who we will draft.

    Just my two cents

Going over my draftboard for the top 32 and researching the needs of Teams ahead of the Jet's, Maclin has a better than 50% chance falling to # 17. With the addition of TJ Housh in Seattle and T.O. in Buffalo, I expect Crabtree to fall to about #8 and Maclin could fall to the Jets. Nicks will be available, unless some team trades up, which is doubtful.
