T.O would be the first legitimate WR the JETS have had in years. This guy produces on the field. If I were Tannne Id do all I could to get this guy. The naysayers would jump on the T.O bandwagon immediately after the production starts. WR we need one T.O is the man
Here's my thing on Owens. I like his persona, as weird as that is, becase his on-field production is very good this late in his career. I like the popcorn, endzone dances, taunting, etc. With that said...The ONLY reason why I wouldn't want TO on the Jets is because of the QB situation. If the Jets had a proven QB who had some years in this system, I'd do it. Now, hes had proven QB's and it hasn't worked out (Garcia,McNabb,Romo) just imagine what he'd do to Ratliff. I hope he catches on somewhere to where he can still be in the spotlight...I'm a fan.
Hes a great target for an unproven QB he has a tendency to sometimes make a QB look good. The JETS need this explosive ofensive weapon. WHY NOT? Its not like this team has been succesful not signing guys like T.O. Lets change the JETS persona and do something out of the ordinary for once and just maybe WINNING will be a new found thing.

Honestly...I'd like TO...but I feel he would be a distraction, constantly bitching and moaning about the QB, not getting the ball...etc..etc Any team who picks up him up has to have a core of strong leaders who will put their foot in his ass if he gets out of line. TO+New York media=Season long national story. One more thing....I agree with the Manny analogy in that alot of teams will stay away from Owens because of his past indiscretions. At least Manny is somewhat amusing and not polarizing. TO is just a pain in the ass. Owens and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, just blew the best scenario they ever had. Prediction: TO and Vick in Oakland in 2009.

I just think he could tear apart a "rookie" QB and rookie head coach if he doesn't get what he wants IMO. He's a freakish athlete, spotty hands, but he makes up for it most of the time. Again...I LIKE Owens. And if we had a QB, even Favre, I'd want Owens right away. But since that isn't the case, the Jets have to pass...They're starting something new, no way they win more than 7 games with Ratliff...And furthermore the Jets are going to be run-oriented... TO wants a passing offense...Oakland.
I don't care. 1) His skills are declining and he's starting to drop a lot of balls. 2) He's been a locker room cancer EVERYWHERE he's been in his career. What makes you think he'd be any different in NY with a rookie HC and a young QB with little to no actual NFL experience? 3) He has B.O. 4) He's 35. 5) He's going to demand more money than he's worth.
You cannot be a succesful run oriented team without legitimate WRs come on man lets get real. Teams will concentrate on the run only offense and they wont win 5 games with that game plan. The JETS need a WR like T.O charasmatic pizazz and he gets the job done when the pig skin is in his hands. All of you need to come out of the JETS losing ways shell and try something different for a change. T.O is a game breaker and a SUPERSTAR!
This is the official, hell to the MF'ing no. Terrell Owens although and outstanding W.O. is not worth the drama that comes with it.
