This would be great news - much better than if he goes to Miami or Buffalo.

Cotch is our No. 1 guy with Coles, time to move on and let Cloney and Stuckey fill the void.

    1. This coles guy played with the jets apparently
    2. he could have just as easily landed with a divisional opponent, which the jets have to play twice a year, and coles would step it up for those games
    3. there was always a chance of us re-signing him
    4. shut up

I kind of looked forward to Sheppard or Revis shutting him down :(.

Agreed. I'd love to have him come back to us & while he's walking up to the facility at Florham Park they let Bart Scotts dogs loose on him.

Can't wait to see what Clowney could do. His preseason TDs is still in my memory.

Remember Coles first game with the Skins...against the Jets.

He torched them for about 125yds and a TD.

    But that was years ago.

That was opening day without Pennington in 2003. Team finished 6-10, not so good. The Jets lost 16-13. I was there. Coles had a great first half, but then did nothing in the second. NO CHANCE Coles torches the Jets if he is a Bengal this year making a trip to the Meadowlands.

Does Albert Hayneworth news deserve to be in the Jets forum?

    1. He played for Titans last yr whom we play quiet often.
    2. He signed with deadskins, who raided a bunch of Jets few yrs ago.
    3. Dan Snyder spends a lot of money in the off season. We did it last yr.
    4. He can play NT for the Jets 3-4 if we were to trade for him.

Coles is not a Jet. Its not a Jet news if its a Dolphin/Bills/Patriots news, unless Jets are part of the deal. Coles is no longer and Jet and the Jets will not be part of any deals related to Coles unless he comes back.

I agree, just something that I remembered about him last time he left.

that's why I was surprised not to see the Derrick Ward signs with the Bucs thread in the NFL forum and not the Jets forum. he is a former Jet, could have signed with a divisional rival and stepped up against us twice a year, or may have returned to the Jets. For that matter, I was surprised that the Giants signing Chris Canty wasn't Jets news. granted he isn't a former Jet, but he's been to NY, could have signed with a divisional rival and stepped it up against us 2 games a year, and possibly could have signed with the Jets.

It was reported that the Jets, Ryan in particular, spoke with Coles, told him the door is open to come back... and they have already cut and re-signed Moore and look like they might do the same with Bowens, so those are kind of bad comparisons you made. I understand that he's not a Jet right now, but he's got a better chance of coming back than Derrick Ward did. Especially since he's not getting a hell of a lot of interest from other teams.

He's the best WR out there rite now. Only reason he's not so popular is money. He left $6 mil on the table to enter FA. Teams know his minimum demand is $6mil.

If he takes $3mil, welcome back. He's only going to go downhill at this point in his career.

The market for Coles should emerge now that Housh has signed. With Philly, Minny and Cincy all losing out on Housh they'll probably take a swing at Coles now.
