The draft is weak at the 3-4 DE position. Chris Canty is the man for us.

trade for boldin as he would probably be better than anyone there, that being said we need a speed guy, that being said boldin is proven. i don't know

  3. The only thing we NEED to do is draft the best player available at every pick in the draft.

What happened to all the fools that said Shaun Ellis was going to get cut? Haha, clueless fans.....Ellis is going nowhere and we need a CB in the first round.

    Chris Canty

What would Canty cost us looks like he would be a great signing if possible

If you were switching to a 4-3 I would agree. But the DE in a 3-4 is just someone to eat up blockers and stuff the run. Now a super stud like a Mario Williams, sure, but he is not there at 17.

Even with signing Scott and probably Kemoeatu, with Tanny involved, I wouldn't be surprized if we get Haynesworth, too. I am probably dreaming, but Tannenbaum has already surprized me.

I think he'd be pricy but wouldn't break the bank. last I heard was that the Jets have not shown interest... I'd like him thought to solidify that line. At this point if we end up signing a cb in free agency i doubt we could afford him.

Other than the fact he signed a 100 million dollar contract with Washington...

I think a lot of the guys hoping for Maclin or a WR are kinda missing the writing on the wall a bit... Rex Ryan is not here to build an explosive offense... he came from a team that made a heavy playoff run with a Sick Defense... and Derrick Mason, Mark Clayton, and Todd Heap... doesnt that sound a lot like Cotchery, Clowney, Stuckey, and Dustin Keller?... we are a RG (gord) short, of having a great OL, we have a good-great running game... we have a serious Question at QB, which sounds EXACTLY how the Ravens went into last season. Stop expecting maclin, housh, boldin etc...
and expect (depending on the rest of FA) a Safety, CB, a DT, DE and a RG...

I don't want to spend a first day pick on a WR or CB. We need a #2 corner, but he doesn't have to be the same caliber player as Revis and we have a decent receiving corps already so another WR would be a luxury.

I don't know if drafting a DE first round is the answer, but an upgrade at the position would be welcome.
