Sure the Detroit team and city suck. But to pass up a 5.6M paycheck is a pretty big deal. The guy must be confident he can get as much or more elsewhere.

That's what came to mind with me as I read this. It's one thing to go to a bad team, but Detroit itself is literally in shambles right now. That whole thing is just a recipe for depression.
