He and draft guru Mike Mayock were discussing comparisons for Georgia Tech's Michael Johnson, a similar workout warrior with a questionable motor. Gholston has been knocked repeatedly as last year's biggest draft bust, but it's still early for that tag.

I can't remember a rookie who's had the shit kicked out of him by the media and fans more than this kid has experienced in his first year.

They guy was swamped with new shit to learn in switching positions last season and then everyone complained when he wasn't an instant contributor.

News flash - it's tough switching positions at ANY level...let alone the pros.

I was pretty psyched to have drafted a pass rusher, but I have to admit I didn't do much draft research last year at all and was keying off the large amount of enthusiasm about the guy. And I'm not someone who writes players off too easily. I gave turds like Cactus Thomas and DRob way too long to prove themselves. And both of those players looked great in comparison to Gholston in their rookie years in terms of production. I'll be the first to cheer the guy on if he starts producing, but right now he looks like shit.

heard it when I watched the combine.... Sapp is correct - which has nearly made me fully objective to Gholston. I think he personifies the old regime - big pussy.
