Has anyone ever heard his interviews on Jim Rome? Rome calls him his number 1 athlete in the jungle. He's a great interview and Bart Scott can talk up a storm. Man I want this guy bad!

Maybe I don't understand all the rules of a franchise player but this will be the 2nd year the Ravens have franchised Suggs. Does that mean he is able to negotiate with other teams? If he does I say we swoop in and sign him. I'd be willing to depart with 2 1st rounders for this guy. He is an absolute monster and IMO the best player on the Bmore defense.

Not sure if it applies here, but no LB is worth two firsts. The Jets would never ever make that move with all the holes on this team.

Not sure which one they used on him.

Edit: A little more research seems to indicate it's the exclusive type meaning the Jets have no shot at him unless they trade for him.

Scott is the lesser of the other 2 star LB's but he still is a tough nose hard hitting LB who can be a very good MLB for us alongside The Hitman.

Should be alot of competition for him seeing how their are so many new 3-4 teams. We might have an advantage because of Rex, but he seems to want to be overpaid.

Im on board to get Scott, but I think we are only going to be able to get one FA for the fact we need to resign some of our own FAs.

This is exactly the kind of swagger our D has been lacking.

The last thing I have ever heard from Gholston is cockiness. The first thing Gholston needs to do is prove he can play football.

Exactly. Until late in the season, the run D was great.

I want Albert Haynesworth and Bart Scott. It will never happen, but that would make my offseason.

I agree completely. We haven't had a pass rush since Abraham was on the team. We need an edge rusher bad...

Man, Suggs isn't worth that. If he is franchised for the second time his salary is going to be immense. For someone to be worth the picks AND the salary, they've have to be better than Suggs IMHO.

I think Ryan would make good use of him, if early indications mean anything. Ryan is a guy that schemes around his talent, not just fitting talent into his schemes like Mangini was intent on doing. Plus, I think Hayneworth would be an animal of a 3-4 DE.

My biggest fear is we sign Scott, and Sutton turns him into a soft pussy bitch like himself.

What did you want him to say? "I suck and I'm not in the class of those other 2 guys" ? He's a FA trying to cash in on a big paycheck. A lot lesser FA's have made much bolder claims than his.

I actually like his attitude. The Jets need more of the in-your-face type player, especially if they're good citizens off the field too. From what I've seen and read Scott doesn't seem to have any off the field issues.

    Go get him Green!

I don't think you need to be concerned with that....Sutton's new role is "glorified coffee-bringer". Chances are, Bart Scott would tell Sutton to go fetch him a Latte if Sutton tried to change his approach to the game.

The only way Rex is going to get this defense to the level he wants is to sign good players like Scott. I like his quote about stopping the run.

Signing Scott would be step one. A safety to play alongside Rhodes would be nice as well. A good corner will help too.

I saw the request for Haynsworth. Man would that be a load to handle up front coupled with Jenkins and Ellis. A man can dream though.
