Assuming other players the Jets would really like are long gone (both top QBs, Crabtree, Raji, some of the top OL-men, etc), and Moreno and Wells are available, who would you like to see the Jets take? Which one is the better RB overall, and which one fits better in the Jets system?

    haha...

I like Moreno's burst. I'd take him. Wells rubs me wrong for some reason.

Moreno vs. Captain Injury Report? Why the Hell would you bring up RBs in this draft without talking about Shady? I'd pick McCoy over these two guys any day. But if they're my only options I'm taking Moreno.

Moreno local kid good guy & a every down back. Wells gets nicked up & is not a pass catcher.

Yeah, I'd stay far away from Wells. He just seems like the type that will fall apart when he gets to the NFL. I can get past a kid that has had injuries, even one with some motivation issues, but not a guy that's soft, and I think he's soft.

I'd rather get another CB opposite Revis... right now we have none. Vontae Davis should be there, and then if we get lucky, Donald Brown, RB, UConn (and also the 2008 rushing yardage leader) , also a local kid might fall to us in the 2nd.

I think Moreno is the more complete back.

    I like Moreno more.

I'd rather we take a CB/WR in the 1st and then go with Greene in the 2nd. He's perfect for us; trade up if we must.

I'm not thrilled using our 17th pick on a RB. I still believe if we stay at 17, Rex Ryan is looking at defense or Sanchez if he's available, which is unlikely.

I'd have no problem trading down into late Rd 1 and pick up another 2nd rd pick....and this become our scenario.........

    Late Rd 1........Sean Smith
    Rd 2................Shonn Greene
    Late Rd 2.........Darry Beckwith

Smith you get great player that can project at CB/S. Greene gets us a comlpiment player with TJ & Leon. Beckwith is a very good MLB, smaller in size, but so is Ray Lewis, they have almost identical frames. Both are listed at 6'1"....but i believe both are closer to 6'0".

We would solve 3 needs with our 3 picks with very good prospects. CB/RB/MLB.

Just something to think about, trading down seems like a viable option, the difference in players in this draft between 15-32 is razor thin in quality.

I'd rather go with Shady but if I had to choose between those two, Moreno without a doubt.

dont get me wrong because id take moreno in a heartbeat. but wells reminds me of peterson. wells had a great college career but had some injuries, so did peterson. they both got the same hype before the draft

I don't really believe that. The kid seems like a class act.

I know it's just one mock, but I thought it interesting that Scott Wright has Shady falling to the Jets in the 2nd round. You think that's a possibility? I wouldn't mind going with his draft there with Tyson Jackson then Shady. Seems logical to me.

Scott Wright's mocks have been god awful since October. He's had us drafting Tyson Jackson with our first rounder in every single mock.

He doesn't even bother to change his explanation for the pick.

    He's terrible.

Do you think Jackson's a terrible pickup for us though? I mean he's a very solid player and I've never been overly impressed with Kenyon Coleman. And Ellis's age is no secret.

I know WW85 wants Sean Smith at that slot...you want him as a CB or S or kinda throw him in and see where he and Lowery land since they both seem like they might be pretty versatile?

Who do you want at that slot, Mr. E?

Personally, I think Jackson would be a decent pickup. I like Alphonso Smith. I also like Sean Smith. I'm a fan of Shady, but wouldn't necessarily want the Jets to take him at 17. I like English, but not the most necessary piece of the puzzle. Sanchez I think could be great, but at times, I question whether I really believe that (maybe it's the ND fan in me). I mean, I really can't decide who the best fit for us is at that spot. I could see a WR, but will Maclin fall? Is Britt or Nicks too much of a reach?
