For many people on this board, the grass is always gonna be greener (see: Brett Raitliff. Or Sanchez).

Jets fans are very different from other fans I'm used to, particularly Packers fans. Packers are more like family, the players may do things that piss you off or disappoint you sometimes, but they're still family. That's why the thing you NYers mock us "Wisconsin hicks" for (carrying all the Jets games on local TV) happen, we still cared, the separation was agonizing. But Jets fans, when you had a guy who gave you 8 pretty good years, Chad Pennington, shown the door, you pretty much just told him not to let it hit him in the ass on the way out, and started shooting spitballs at his back as soon as he walked away. I mean, I actually understand some of the rejection of Favre, he wasn't here long enough for anyone to get attached. But Pennington?

It's a difference I'll never understand, how you guys can turn so quickly and strongly on a guy, either against (Pennington), or for (Raitliff). Shit, Favre was only here 5 months, and I saw some people turn strongly for & against him 2-3 times over in that span.

I hope to God we don't sign Chris Simms. Or Marques Tuiasosopo.

Sad it didn't work out, We were 8-3 and the top the AFC East. An then the same old jets fucked it all up again... Bad ending to a almost great story.

Actually there is no better indicator of wins and losses, then whether you get a win or a loss at the end of the day, and guess what, Favre happens to have the most wins.

Hey Tank, just found out right now. All I can say is the Jet's need to move on. Yes this year, like many others, has been a disaster, joke and whatever else you want to call it.

God bless Brett, it's time to hang it up, it's been good and now maybe give Clemens another shot, maybe the Rat or Ainge comes in and gives him some competition.

For FA vet QB's, maybe the other Marshall QB, Leftwhich, or Garcia. I thought Favre would stay at least one more year, but maybe with new coach, tougher schedule next year, he thought to hang it up. Who knows. Either way, the Jet's are holding an empty bag - again.

The jets screwed up when they signed favre...they had a good QB in Pennington he just couldnt stay healthy... its ironic that he stayed healthy this year... I think the Jets should make a move to pick up Billy Volek

We are not 18 mil under the cap. I do not know why people think we are. After favre retiring and barret getting cut we are about 4-10 mil under. I've read different things about the new salary cap that its 124mil and also read it may go up to 130mil.

As a Jet fan, I only care about 2008 and a 1-5 finish with 2 TDs and 9 interceptions did the Jets in. I don't care what he did with the Packers or that he won all those games. They were wins for another team. You have to understand that most Jet fans only care about what he did as a Jet and he failed down the stretch. He belongs in the HOF, but he should have realized he was finished a year ago. All those wins and consecutive starts and career TD passes meant nothing when the Jets needed wins against SF, Seattle, Miami etc.

So you are a Texans fan too?

One of your "family" has played for them.
