Kerry Collins is the best fit for this franchise. He is a proven starting QB in the NFL. HE manages the game and he has a rocket for an arm. The perfect stop gap. At least with Collins we know we can continue to win. With the other guys we are hoping that we can win.
So you keep replacing the has-beens with yet another has-beens? At QB position, nonetheless? Simply Brilliant.
if we get a couple great defensive free agents and build our d up through the draft and bring in a vet like garcia im allabout it
The jets should look at Billy Volek the back up at san diego .. he did really well in Tenn when he had a chance to start...
Garica for ONE season might be ok. I liked the fact that we have Clemens sitting there and was Favre's backup. I think the kid learned a bunch this season just having a HOF QB on his team. I wouldn't mind having Garcia on the team, but, like I've said, I'd rather have Leftwich. We would save money that we can spend on our D.
I say we bring in a vet, whether it's Garcia, Leftwich, or Anderson, and let them compete with Clemens, The Rat Attack and maybe a Rookie QB.
Something about Anderson just screams NO at me. If he can bring Edwards with him..then we got something going.
Maybe this guy is available. http://www.fannation.com/si_blogs/for_the_record/posts/49421?eref=fromSI
I know Kerry is not the solution but better than the other options We draft one of the 1st rd QBs and has been replacements should be squashed This year is what it is No New Coach is gonna wait a year and see if a guy can play or not. So I don't see much hope for Clemens. Coaches get fired too quick to wait and see
I dont see why everyone is so set against Garcia...I think the guy could have a much better year than Favre did last year, he may not have the 6td games but he also wont have games with multiple interceptions costing the team games...he'll be a veteran to rely on if Clemens or Ratliff don't impress Ryan enough...I know alot of people are big Leftwich supporters but he is constantly injured thats how he got where he is now...Garcia would just bring in a solid option if nothing else pans out for this year...and with another year in the system clemens or ratty would be able to step in if Garcia retires or goes another way...no pun intended:rofl:
no to Garcia only going to be around a little while and not that good. What is wrong with just starting with a young guy and have him around a while instead of getting a veteran that will only be here a couple of years and then start over again in a couple of years ?
