    Very well put.

With that said, I see Favre coming out of his version of "retirement" in July before Training Camp starts.

... In all seriousness, now it's time to look for a QB. Is he on our team already (Clemens or Ratliff), do we have to look for him from another team/free agency, or is he in the draft?

Another great day in the offseason for us.

Now if we can only find a place for Jen Sterger on this team.

She would probably fit in Kris Jenkins' lunchbox.

If anybody is interested there's a Live Conference call going on right now on the teams official website with Woody Johnson, Mike T discussing the team and Favre's retirement. I don't know how much longer it'll be up tho.

C'mon, Brett never really wanted to be with the Jets. Buh-Bye, Brett. He was great in Green Bay. I wonder if he would have had the same career if he played in New York? Unfortunately, he's just another big name who couldn't cut it in New York.

But here's the punchline...I get a voicemail from a NY Jets PSL salesman this morning...on the day Brett quits! To a season ticket holder who is recently unemployed! I don't envy this schmuck's job in this economy. I sure hope he's not commission-only.

eye8dapats I am a Jet fan for 35 years not a Favre transplant. All you guts that think we are going to make the playoffs next year with Kellen as our QB are nuts.

The team wasn't going to win the Super Bowl with Favre next year either so who cares. At least now they are forced to figure out what they have and do something to develop or acquire a franchise QB. Hopefully, they learned their lesson and won't go after somebody else's leftovers again.

Just like everyone thought Joe Flacco would bring them to the AFC Championship. Thats the reason they play the game.

What? Brett didn't cry on TV like when he left Green Bay? He just sent an email? Can Favre get out of here fast enough? I guess Rex Ryan as HC wasn't enough reason to come back.

I'm sure glad I didn't buy a Favre jersey. And 1050ESPN Radio can keep their Cheesecake Heads.

    thank you Brett.

I guess it back to being the only JET fan at the sports bar again. :(

Yeah, something tells me that this saga isn't over yet.

On a side note, judging from your avatar, Minnie Driver has had some work done...

I like Sanchez. I think he'll be great. But a.) can we do it? and b.) how long for him to develop in the NFL?

I saw enough of Clemens to know he's not the guy. Ratliff is a big question mark. Sure, he looked good in last year's pre-season, but what does that mean?

JETS SHOP ALERT!!! All Favre stuff 50% off!!!

Very upset. This past season was my favorite one ever. It was so much fun to watch the team with Favre, even the crappy games. I loved every minute of it, and I jumped out of my seat when I heard the Jets were getting him. Sorry to see you go so soon, Brett :(
