The Braves offer to Lowe makes the Mets offer for him pretty insulting, but the Braves overpaid him. The Mets will likely just resign Perez now and have the rotation be Santana, Pelfrey, Perez, Maine, and Redding.

I'm just curious what the hell these idiots are trying to accomplish. There is obviously no market for Manny yet they are rejecting the best offer they are going to receive. Why do I have this terrible feeling the Yankees are going swoop in and steal him away form everybody? Love them or hate them and think like I do that they are throwing alot of money at alot of question marks but nobody can ever question their commitment to trying to put the best product on the field for their fans.

Is it too much to ask for people to realize that Manny wants the years on the contract? I ahven't seen all of the offers but I know the Dodgers have offered up 1 and 2 year deals. He may only be holding out for the third year with no options (unless it is his). Someone will step up and give him what he wants, God forbid it be the Yankees. What would they do with him anyway?

According to ESPN, Adam Dunn has agreed to a 2-year $20 million contract with the Nats. Also, Bobby Abreu will sign a 1-year $5 million contract with the Angels when he passes the physical.

Great deal for the Angels. Vlad gets some help and will have someone on base for plenty of his at bats.
Dunn is a great sign too but Austin Kearns must be pissed about this.
