    lol guys chill out

He was our LBs coach for 6 years before he was DC, a fact many people forget. He'll be fine in that role. He did teach Jonathan Vilma to be a solid linebacker.

He IS NOT GOING TO RUN THE D ANYMORE

good one, but sad to say I agree

Why they would want him in the same state is puzzling.

Yeah, seriously...Sutton isn't running the defense. Just because someone's there doesn't mean they can make the team do badly.

I know were overreacting a bit, but firing Sutton is important because it shows that our FO is dedicated to keeping winners on this team. I don't mind Schotty staying because he could help the defensive minded Ryan at this point. There is no reason to keep Sutton though, none. He doesn't add anything to the mix and Ryan could probably put someone much more qualified in his position.

Continuity isn't a bad thing overall, but seriously, we couldn't get the Ravens LB coach?

Oh wait, yeah, he's the man running the Defense.

Not great news, but not the end of the world either. Just the sight of Sutton makes me angry.

This is just a disturbing trend. Since Herm came on board with TeddyC forced on him as DC, since Mangini came on board with Sutton forced on him as DC, and possibly even Schotty.

Just because he didn't know how to call a blitz d0oesn't mean he can't be a good contributor. You guys act like he kicked your dog or something.

Difference being Sutton is only the LB coach which he was years before he was DC. Don't think he was a good DC but he was a pretty good LB coach.

As long as Sutton isn't calling the plays...how much harm can he really do? Rex is calling the plays....Sutton is just cheap labour.

Whatever. He's not running the defense anymore, and Pettine is going to be calling the shots as far as developing players go. We're fine. Relax.

I don't really care if Sutton is parking cars for the Jets...as long as he's not sending in the Defensive play calls....it's all good.
