If no one remembers, Brady is expected to be back on the Patriots, this could mean the Patriots will be team they were 07-08.
Even if we get a good team assembled, even if we chose the best QB we can, and even if Rex Ryan is amazing, it looks like next season will be (adding onto the tough schedule) pretty hard with the old Patriots back.
Which means if you go to a Jets practice, keep a look out for guys with cameras.

The Pats won 11 games last year. Why do we need to worry about getting the "old Patriots back"? It's not like they shit the bed without Brady.

If they win 11 games or even 16 games next year, that will be enough to win the division most likely.

Tom Brady is not god, hence his knee got fucking shattered. I dont understand some fans, how the fuck would this team ever get better if were scared of a QB.

how about, fuck tom brady, I'm glad hes back, I hope Kris Jenkins eats his knee ligaments on the field of Gilette Stadium

Yes, god forbid someone creates a thread here talking about something other than trashing Jets players, talking about how others are trashing Jets players, making long lists of jets players they want cut, venting about trades/cuts/departures of former Jets players, fantasizing about trades for players that have no realistic chance of happening, or fantasizing about how great some team members will be when we actually know very little about them.

For god sakes lets not have a thread that cannot be neatly slotted into one of those categories! If there is on, reply to it with a snarky comment.

The word 'snarky' automatically makes your post negligible.

Brady is going to be 32 coming off of major knee surgery next year. I dont care what people up in Boston say that Defense is getting old. Harrison, Vrabel, and Bruschi are all still playing prominent roles on this defense. Im not saying they cant win the division but they are getting old.

I thought I read somewhere that the Rehab was going very badly and Brady was having major problems; he may not be back next year. Nevertheless, we have our own agenda. If we develop the proper defense it won't matter who is QBing anywhere.

Brady won't look so good once Ryan gets a serious, disruptive pass-rush in place for a change.

The one good thing about Woody's struggles selling his PSLs is he's going to have to authorize Tannenbaum to go out once again this off-season and bring in serious talent.

He's going to have to open the checkbook to make it look like we're SB contenders (and maybe we will be, who knows?) to sell the idea that people need to commit to the PSLs and therefore submit to the annual Louisville Slugger-sized prostate exam they call "ticket prices."

I wasn't looking for any other response than that from you. I would have failed if it had.
I personally have no idea. But the idea that it is automatically guaranteed that Brady will be the same great player ever again is not one shared by everyone.

Brady won't be the same QB he was. He's getting old and he's not going to sit in the pocket anymore because he's not going to want to get hurt again

wow some angry comments on this thread, one of which I find better than all the other offseason crap threads.

Seriously though, for those of you who "arent worried about Brady" I wish I could have your blind optimism. Brady's gonna come out slinging this year. The pats offense will be close to what it was in '07, and they'll probably roll the division easily.

I'm not worried about the Fish, I think they'll fall off this year, Pennington will get hurt/flop in year 2, and they'll be looking at Henne in 2010. I'm also not too worried about the Jills. Until they get another coach, they'll fall into another miserable 7-9, 8-8 year.

We're an enigma, new coach, probably a new QB = another rebuilding year. I'm keeping my expectations low. This past year we loaded up with lots of talent on both sides of the ball, had the continuity that's important, got a legend QB, with an easy schedule AND had the perennial powerhouse Pats above us lose NUMEROUS players including their star leader - making it our best chance of any and we still couldnt do anything. Next year we wont be so lucky. 6-10?

If you think "period" that QB was the only problem last year, and did nothing anywhere else, you almost certainly would doom the Jets to go down in flames next year.

Good thing you're not a GM or coach for this team.
