im assuming behing the jets bench. and rememebr this stadium is slighty rotated from the old one.so instead of the sun setting over 339 section in the end zone it will set over the 50 i think.

Actually, there is a great reason why they should be much more than a 30 year motgage for a house. They have diminishing returns, unlike real estate which you assume will appreciate.

These seats become worth less every year you have them. The life of a stadium may be 30 years, probably less. In 15 years these seats are starting to near the point where they are worthless.

Actually, I am surprised the ineterest rates are so low. I would expect them to be like credit card rates or at least automobile rates. Those are the types of things these best equate to.

Well if U listen to that Woodys interview he made it sound that it was a rock solid investment that will be easily tradeable or saleable so why would he not offer the same rate as say a car dealer does using the new car as security. To me the PSL is the same security as a car

I agree. It may be warmer on the sunny side, but with the sun in your eyes a) you need sun glasses, and b) with all the drinking, the few times I"ve sat on that side I've ended up with a haayuge headache by the end of the game. Plus, the people behind the Jets bench are standing half the game. Lastly, it's nice to see the league instead of seeing the Jets every game.

The downside is that it's a little colder and you gotta deal with the annoying road fans a little more.

The fact still remains that you are not securing the loan with the asset. Your loan agreement will not state "If you default on this loan we have the right to take the PSL".

The PSL is an asset as long as someone else is willing to pay for it. But the loans will not be secured by the PSL.

I don't necessarily agree with this in full. The value of the PSL will be based more on the teams performance, not the condition of the stadium. If the team is doing well, there will be more demand for tickets and the rights to those tickets. Thus, the PSL will, in theory, sell for more. However, I do agree that the PSL will diminish in value as the initial "newness" of the stadium goes away, and thus the first few years will see some depreciation.

As long as someone is willing to pay for the right to purchase seats, they will be worth something. It is possible that you could pay $5K for a seat and sell it for $6K after the Jets win the Super Bowl. :)

The same goes for cars or for that matter any other asset you think U may have. It is only a asset if the other side wants it. Woody could easily arrange securing the loan if he so desired. Just think U buy a car for 2.9 % interest over 36 months & the second U drive it out of the showroom ur so called asset decreased by 6Gs. Does not sound like a "secured" loan to me. IMHO Woody is just ripping us fans off by charging such a high interest rate which I believe U get thru a NYJ credit card so he gets commission on the use of that card.

It takes me 10 minutes to get out of the lot and I bring in food and water so it costs me $125 for the whole day, soup to nuts. You are just a whinner, wimp, cheap and lazy.

Same date for me. 2/9. They say that they will fill the "Happy Ending" er, uh, I mean the "Club" seats first, so I imagine it could be a while before they get to most of us regular guys. I was hoping that with all that is involved money-wise, that this would be done as an in-person meeting where we'd be able to get exact seat locations to consider and have someone there to answer questions. In my case I own 6 seats and wonder if I have the option to divide them between PSL and non-PSL. Also, my decision to go upstairs without a PSL may depend on where I stand seniority-wise. I don't want to make that choice and wind up last row, corner, although I probably would be happy to get them. Also, should something happen and I decide to go PSL - I'd damn well better know exactly where they are putting me at these prices. Send my a hard hat - I'm entering the construction site.

Also, if you click on the new jets stadium link in that email, they have an interactive seating chart that tabulates the PSL money broken out as up-front money as well as 5 or 15 year financing rates in dollars per year.

This really blows. The economy sucks so bad right now, my decision is going to be different than it would have been last year. As if I haven't handed over enough money for all these seasons I've gone to every game.

One last thing - they plan an "alcohol-free" zone. OK, I understand that, and in fact rarely do I drink while inside, BUT they have some BS about kid-friendly stuff within these sections. What the hell will that be? Happy Meals? I ca see it now - "McDonalds Squish the Fish Sandwiches" $14.95

Maybe this is the seniority list in action - how long have you had yours? I've had mine since '79 and my date is 2/9.

That might not matter. Could be alphabetical.

when you park in the right area sure its possible to get out in 10 minutes, however i really dont care to get there at 9am either. and the later you get there the less choice you have of where to park. so it is VERY likely it will take quite a bit of time to get out.

they let you bring in food and water? interesting they havent let me bring in a cooler in YEARS.

125 bucks huh, interesting. please do tell. minimum ticket price is 95 bucks, 20 bucks for parking, food what thats at least 10 bucks even if you dont eat in the stadium, i drive from ct so you can add in another 10-15 bucks minimum for parking. whats it 4.75 for the bridge?

btw, my old seats would now cost me 500 bucks a game each, sorry i enjoy actually watching the game and being able to see it when they are on either side of the field.

add onto that, i typically bring kids with me. as i have a foster son and many of his friends have never gotten the opportunity to go to a football game, and obviously they dont have the money to pay for the tickets. they tend to want something at the game not some water before they go in.

SOOOO i will complain when it goes from costing me 2-300 bucks to bring a kid to the games to 4-500 bucks to bring that same kid. and guess what i will not afford that. so guess who suffers? the kids who could have never gone if it wasnt for a guy like me.

so go ahead and call me cheap... when you do the things that i do then you can call me cheap until then please shut your old fat mouth.

bottom line is they are fucking everyone and you are going to sit here and tell others who are not happy with the increases or the bullshit line they are feeding us that we are cheap and whiners.

    you sir are a lemming.

My ticket is $75, section 314. I bring a frozen water bottle and I drink cold water the whole game. I park ono the northside of the Izod and exit though the service road. I pack 4-6 sanwiches from the meat I cook at the game and put them in a clear plastic bag. I live in Northen NJ so I have not tolls I have spent $0.00 in 28 years inside the stadium and always park where there is a fast exit. When there is a will, there is a way.Bottom line, you don't want to go anymore which is your business but don't blame the CURRENT prices. 2 years from now, all bets are off.

thing is that stadiums dont tend to last very long these days, i will give it 30 years tops before it becomes "old and unworthy of a pro stadium" in actuality they will start saying that 10 years from now.

so you buy the rights to a seat here in this stadium, now the stadium has a 30 year life span, so after 20 years who is going to pay 6k for the rights to seats which will probably only have a life span of 10 more years? remember new stadium new psl. i sure as hell wouldnt buy those from you 20 years from now.

when these new stadiums start to fail and need to be replaced will be when everyone will start to see the sham that psls are. some of us see the sham already, others i dont know i guess they are ignorant.

It continues to amaze me what people will pay more and more to see an obvious inferior product......

I guess just add little pieces over time so the average fan keeps paying.

I can't justify it, I would rather pay for my daughter's college. But to each their own.

the prices are ever increasing, they are going up a tremendous amount when the new stadium opens. its not sensible for me to go at this point. it will be stupid to go at that point.

sorry i was a bit of a jerk i just do not like anyone calling me cheap. although you have no way to understand my situation.

I do not have to pay the PSL's so I am lucky. I would not pay 5k for the right to see ths team. no way. I have no problem with the $110 or so for 10 games. I can understand how people are fed up with the prices and will not, or can not, pay for them. Its nuts, but for now, I am ok with it.
