    Here are my guys:

    Mark Sanchez
    Clint Sintim
    "Macho" Harris
    Vontae Davis
    Matt Stafford

I like Lesean McCoy, but I think we need either a QB, LB, or CB in the 1st. Shonn Greene in the 2nd would be amazing.

  6. BJ Raji- If Rex wants to be the most physical team in the Nfl...this would be a good start. Find a way to pair him w/ Jenkins on the field..and look out.

Darius Butler- He isn't a draft house hold name just yet..but he's having a very solid senior bowl week and I expect him to have a very good combine. I watched this guy play for 4 years...he's a top cornerman who RARELY got beat, who plays the run very well and was a good leader throughout his entire college career. Pair him w/ Revis and we'd have somethin special in the secondary.

Vontae Davis- Not quite the coverman Butler is..but maybe more of an overall athlete and would bring explosion to the overall defensive scheme.

Michael Oher- You don't pass on a physical speciman like this. Much like Raji he'd go a long way in making us a more physical football team.

Rey Mauluga- I think he has the exact playing style and mentality that Ryan is looking for.

    Tyson Jackson- See Raji.

David Maclin- Would add an element to our offense that we're in dire need of.

I'm pretty sure you meant Jeremy Maclin...

Right now, I'm hoping for Mark Sanchez, but if he's gone I want to see Rex Ryan bring in Rey Maualuga. He'd be the leader that this defense lacks.

I wouldn't be upset with LeSean McCoy, even though RB is far down on our lists of needs.

No safety in this draft is worth a first round choice.

Tyson Jackson, Or Knowshon Moreno <------- i would love a three headed running attack, then we could make my sister the qb and we would be ok.

I'm really liking our spot at #17. It's almost a given that some good players will be available then.

I definitely think Rex is going defensive front 7. I'm especially hoping all of the best OT go early in the draft to push down the top defensive players. Then we might have a shot at Laurinaitis or Maualuga.

I'd love if Malcolm Jenkins fell to us, although it doesn't look like that will be the case.

It might be a reach, but I really like Macho Harris too. He would be a great compliment to Revis.

I really don't want Heyward-Bay, Harvin, or Aaron Maybin. Especially Maybin, drafting him would be a huge mistake. He's undersized and really just isn't ready for the NFL.

They are more different than they are alike.

On a side note, does anyone else find it funny that the Jets got rid of Dewayne Robertson because he didn't fit in the 3-4 and the Broncos traded for him because they thought he could be good in a 4-3....and now the Broncos are switching to a 3-4. Sucks for him. Maybe they'll be smart and put him at 3-4 DE. I really think the Broncos could draft Raji for NT because it is such a key position in the 3-4.

I think Raji's best fit is in a 4-3 at NT however because of his ability to get up the field and after the QB.

Most people think he's not fast enough to cover RBs out of the backfield or TEs. LB coverage/the middle of the field was a major problem for us this year.

Out of the 130 tackles he made this past season only 52 of them were solo tackles

He's a bad fit for our defense.

Raji just weighed in at 334 at the senior bowl, and if you know...ever watched them play and didn't just look at pictures you found on the internet, you could see that they are nothing alike.

I guess constantly being around the ball doesn't matter in this league anymore?

Sorry DraftaFullBack, but you're about to get dominated...

Only 52 solo tackles, huh? He still led the best defense in the Big 10 in SOLO tackles with those 52.

Ohio State defenders swarm to the ball, so that's a pretty big indicator of what a linebacker can do when he leads one of the country's best defensive teams in tackles. JL is always in on the play.

    AND THEN...

Laurinaitis led the Buckeyes in assisted tackles with 78, as well. He must always be around the ball, huh DaFB?

    AND THEN...

Little Animal was second on the team in sacks with 4, behind Vernon Gholston's replacement Thaddeus Gibson, who had one more than JL with 5. He was also third on the team in TFLs with 7.

AND THEN, AND THEN, AND THEN, AND THEN, AND THEN...

List of awards: Butkus, Nagurski, and 2-Time Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year.

Swing and a miss. Navorro Bowman, first guy that came to mind, had 63 solo tackles. source. And I'm sure that there are more, he's just the first guy I thought of. Plus, Ohio State scorekeepers are notorious for giving even the 3rd guy to the ball credit for a tackle. Last thing, he admits to pile-jumping.

I go to Penn State, but I watched a lot of Ohio State games. Against us and against USC, he was absolutely invisible. He's not an impact player, he's not attacking the line of scrimmage at all. If we got on Vilma for making tackles a few yards past the line, we'd be absolutely killing Laurinaitis.

See above. Being the fourth guy to the ball carrier won't get you credit for a tackle in the NFL.

7 TFLs for a starting linebacker isn't very good. Going back to Bowman, he had 16.5. Freeman is easily a bigger impact player.
Adam Rittenberg writes the Big Ten blog for ESPN. He will freely admit, and has in his columns, that though Laurinaitis is a good football player, that he is incredibly overrated. He isn't fast enough, as mentioned earlier, to cover tight ends or running backs, and isn't strong enough to shed tackles at the line of scrimmage. He's savvy, and knows the game of football, but that isn't enough to make it in the NFL. The team that drafts Laurinaitis in the first round will regret making the pick. He won't be half the NFL-er that David Harris is.

Is Navorro Bowman on Ohio State? No, so who cares how many tackles he had?

You're obviously extremely biased being a Penn State fan.

Keep blaming Laurinaitis' success on OSU's score keepers.
