Pitt was the first team all year to make Flacco look like a rookie.

You must enjoy a good game of Flag Football.

That hit was a good clean hard hitting football play.

No one loves hard hitting like me.
Anyone who sits with me in my section knows me and how I get after a smash.
But facts are facts. There are rules in place to prevent people from getting carted off the field.
Launching and H2H are both the top 2.

and for the record, I like Phil Simms and defend him often on here but IMO, he was wrong.
Time will tell and maybe you need to see other angles but it was clearly h2h and an illegal hit.

Anyone watch the Conference trophy presentations after both games? Wisenhunt and Tomlin both were pumped, enthused, thanking the fans etc.

Can you picture Mangini accepting the trophy and interviewing during this presentation?

That's exactly how the camera saw it. If I cannot believe my eyes, then I shouldn't watch any more games. The first thing that hit the ball carrier was the defender's helmet and it was right in the helmet. That was there for everybody to see it. I cannot believe the announcers were saying that it was a clean hit and could not have been avoided.

First of all...watch the play....Clark lowers his shoulder and turns away from the ball carrier..THEN McGahee LOWERS his helmet creating contact.

Legal hit. Same type of hit as the Welker hit. NFL will confirm this later in the week.

Feel free to believe what you want to though....

Your Yankees buy all the titles from my Pirates. I don't see THEM Sharing the wealth... in fact they get MORE money from the public for their one BILLION dollar stadium in tax free bonds.

    What a scam. LOL

I think you're overrating the year he had. Pittsburgh had already made him look bad before (11/28 for 115 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs on 12/14), and he had other poor games this year as well (13/19 for 128 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs on 9/21; 18/27 for 153 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs on 10/5; 28/38 for 247 yards, 0 TDs, 3 INTs on 10/12; 22/30 for 164 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs on 11/16). He had a good year for a rookie, but a mediocre year for an NFL quarterback.

I like all the Pittsburgh teams. And I root for em no matter what.

Wish the Pirates had an owner that wasn't afraid to spend some money to build a winner. This town would cheer like mad for a winning baseball team again.

Exactly -- Clark was obviously leading with his shoulder, there was some Helmet to Helmet contact created by Mcgahee lowering his head. The H2H contact also is not the initial contact, the shoulder is.

I don't ever want to see anyone get hurt but that was a clean hit. It is a contact sport and it's gonna happen. There was no intent in that play to lead with the head.

Here in New Jersey, there are many Steelers fans. ALL of them that I know personally, are Yankees or Mets fans. It's ridiculous and clearly a bandwagon issue when it comes to the NFL for those fans.

Steelers fans are the best travelling fans in the league so I don't think we're the bandwagon types. Most bandwagon fans don't hit the road to support a team they could really care less about.

Or are you referring to them rooting for other baseball teams?

In my neck of the woods, you never see a Pirates/Jets fan or a Pirates/Giants fan, but you certainly see Yankees/Steelers and Mets/Steelers ones.

A lot of Pittsburghers had to move when the Steel Mills shut down. Steelers fans are everywhere!

And to be honest...a lot of Pirates fans probably gave up and rightfully so. This organization is horrible. About to set the record for most consecutive losing seasons.

    yet still I hope...and still I pray
