It's hard to know what exactly Flacco is at this point. He was in the bottom half of the league in just about every QB category, so even if he never turns out to be great, this game doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it.
I don't see how that is NOT a penalty. Pittsburgh has gotten away with so much shit in this game, that was just the fukin Icing on the cake. Unreal... Launching & Hemet2Helmet. and Yes, He launched himself. He made contact while he was launching forward. Even if that was borderline it was clearly H2H...
He grabbed one of the hands of a teammate, I didn't see a thumbs up, but thats just as good. At one point on the cart, right before he grabbed his teammates hand. The cart jerked, and his whole body like.. became stiff. He's no doubt in severe pain.
Flacco is compared to Roethlisberger because they both helped to take teams to conference title games as rookies. Roethlisberger threw three INTs in the '04 AFC title game and it didn't cause psychological damage to him. Flacco will be okay and should have a pretty good career.
I am excited to see some of the guys we bring in via the draft with Ryan, guys like Zbikowski, Leonhard, I am really excited for the instinctive violent players that Ryan will bring
Not at all. This hit wasn't dirty and he didn't hit a defenseless ball carrier, which i believe was the terminology for Smiths hit.
It was a dirty hit but at least this hit wasnt under 2 minutes in a 21 pt lead for NYJ which Smith's was. Lowering your shoulder and aiming for the head is a dirty hit well at least in my eyes, Clark was lucky to be able to get out of there decently. I understand Clark wanted to stop McGahee and force a fumble but you aim low or wrap up your tackle rather than go headhunting.
Sorry Bro, I watched the hit over & over already on DVR and it was Clearly H2H & he Launched himself. As as CJ said, He should be suspended. The Eric Smith hit was incidental because Smith went stright and the player behind him Hit Boldin forward and pushed him into Smith's Helmet. This hit was clear and intentional head hunting. When you rewatch it he clearly led with the Helmet and directly struck the helmet 1st....
He led with his shoulder, lowered his head to avoid a H2H. They showed it 50 fucking times on the CBS broadcast.
