1. Bring back Brett Favre for one more year 2. Sign LT as a free agent after SD cuts him 3. Sign TO as a free agend after Dallas cuts him Light the match and watch the Jets go up in smoke. All three will be overpaid, two are clearly washed up (Favre and LT) all three are incredibly selfish (remember LT pouting on the bench in last year's playoff games because of his boo boo??) and one is a cancer (TO). I could not root for a team with Favre and TO nor one stupid enough to sign a washed up RB with no tread left on the tires.
Ehhh you underrate LT. Your dead on about Favre and TO and I dont want LT but I dont see him as a washed up player. He isnt what he once was but he can help a team in the right situation.
Analysts say there's a 50/50 chance of Favre coming back to the Jets. But there's only a 10% chance of that.

LT is one amazing football player but if you put him in a Jets uniform he'll break his legs on the spot and never play one down for us.
This thread is pointless. And you bring up the fact about LTlast year, why? Because you heard them mention it on nfl network last week? Lol I don't want him because of cap space, but to say he's washed up is dumb. He's been injured, that's it.
It's not dumb to say LT is washed up. It's the truth. Why are so many fans attracted to a name and want players based on past accomplishments. If LT is still good, why doesn't SD, with no replacement other than a smurf-like back in Sproles, not want him back???? And why would the Jets, whose RBs are fine, want him? At this point in their careers, Jones is the better back. Why do the Jets need him??? And can't you see that LT's injuries are one of the main indications that he is nearing the end as a RB??? How about the Jets and their fans stop worrying about bringing in every name player on the trash heap and let's concentrate on building a winner, not a rest stop for future HOFers who don't know when to retire.

Don't want LT or TO but we do need a stud running back who can move the pile to team with Leon and a true No. 1 WR.
How to Improve a Franchise: 1) Do NOT sign TO or LT. 2) If possible, trade down draft position and pick up an extra pick or two. 3) Sign a proven cornerback. 4) Draft lots of D-Line, O-Line, and Linebackers. 5) Develop the rest of the talent that is already on the team.
1. Hire a coach with current "Hot" system that you don't have the players to execute effectively. 2. Blow up entire team. 3. Get old players who are familiar with coaches system. 4. Finally get players who can play system. 5. Fire Coach for not winning. 6. Hire new coach with new "Hot" system that you don't have the players to execute effectively. 7. Repeat steps 2 thru 6.
Lets take Favre out of the equation for now. Where are people hearing that the Jets are interested in LT and TO? I havent heard that. Only place is on message boards and thats basically what message boards are for.
