just saw this on NFL.com's home page....

I love Jon Gruden, and he's an offensive coach, so the 3-4 wouldn't be messed with.

    Why the hell not?

Raheem Morris could get the job. He was named the new TB defensive coordinator a few weeks ago.

because why would the Bucs firing their coach not be Jets news?

that, and everyone wants to be the breaking news star.

There's that and there's also the fact it is not Jets news.

Some people don't even seem to know that there is an NFL forum here.

That's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw Gruden had been fired.

...Gruden would make an excellent offensive coordinator, wherever he ends up.

Was Jon Gruden made more effective by Al Davis or hindered by him? That was one of the main questions people were asking when he left the Raiders for the Bucs. I think we have at least a partial answer today.

    that's a possibility.

I wouldn't mind the Jets taking a look at Gruden.....i like Rex Ryan....but Gruden shows the same fire, great offensive mind, also has a history with Favre, and you'll know there won't be any shortage of QB's on the roster if he's running the show.

I still would love to have Rex....but i guess as a fan, i have that "kid in a candy store" mentality right now with the coaching candidates that are available....and i've always been high on Gruden. Either way...Rex or Gruden....we'd be getting a great coach.
