It should come in handy for me to get late Dodger scores and highlights at odd hours. Not that it's that hard anymore, but all the other sports have a home channel for round-the-clock nightly wrap-ups and highlights that reel through the whole morning. It's like the Internet now, you don't have to sit through SportsCenter's bad comedy and auto racing news just to get the stuff you want. It will be nice to get my Dodger stuff on TV without sitting through 30 minutes of Tiger Woods worship or whatever else is going on that I don't care about.

I've only watched a little of this but so far I'm very impressed. Obviously all the old stuff is fun to see again and there's a lot of great stuff about the game's history. But on top of that, the analysis and discussion that I've seen thus far is far and away better than anything else on TV right now. Perhaps now that there's a little competition Baseball Tonight will have to do a little better than John Kruk and Rick Sutcliffe for analysis.

Reynolds is now on the MLB Network. And so far he's been very good. Either I remember him being much more of a dumbass when he was on ESPN than he really was or he has really improved since his little "incident" over at ESPN.

I saw a few minutes early this morning and they had some good insight into the Dodgers/Manny situation, including Reynolds.

I wonder if there will ever be a league directive to funnel info to reporters that work for the network as opposed to ESPN. It would make sense for the league to order teams to speak to MLB Network reporters instead of others so that they could break every story and theoretically increase viewership.

That's the nice thing about the NFL, NHL and NBA networks, they have all the access to good people with real information. It's good to see ESPN being cut down on the food chain, they can continue to suck up to the TOs of the world and have access to them.

I always thought Reynolds was the best of the Baseball Tonight bunch... but that's not really saying much. He's a C student in a class full of dunces.

He still has his dumb moments, though. After all, he thinks Joba should be in the pen. "TEH EIGHTH INNING!!1!"

I haven't watched MLBN enough to say I agree with you on Reynolds. I can say that this same thing happened with Deion Sanders. He was garbage on CBS and is now excellent on the NFL Network.
