http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3833575 T.O in green and white would be a great pick up. Dallas will release him and we should take a shot. Show him around NY. Introduce him to the players. Build a family. The media gives this guy crap and no team wants him. Bring T.O in!!! All he needs is a new home and where else better than in the Big Apple. Everyone keeps saying, "He's a cancer, he'll bring this team down." That's why I'm advocating bringing back Herm. Make Herm an Assistant. He will mentor Owens and make sure the team has great comradery...
Is this a fucking joke ? The guy would turn an already shitty franchise to nothing more then cow shit.
No we should not make a run at Owens. He is getting old and declining. Besides, no one has talked about releasing Owens. It even says so in the article. Espn needed to make some news to get someones attention. Kinda reminds me of the show Rock Bottom .
Owens is the Manny of the NFL. He DESTROYS teams. The only way to control him is if he is paired up with a very big time, well respected head coach. If thats the case, he will give that coach a great year or two, and then implode the whole core of the team. Next year the Jets (much to my chagrin) will have rookie HC and a retread QB like Vinny because Klemens is not good enough to be a starting NFL QB. That is a disaster waiting to happen. I predict he goes to the Pats or Giants and one or the other will win the SB.
i say no.... the jets should have learned their lesson from picking up an aging ego.... there are more pressing needs and if favre comes back having favre and TO on one side of the ball on offense is not a good move...
Great, another "lets get a malcontent from another team" thread. Getting guys like TO, Vick, Burress is stupid for the franchise and does nothing for team chemistry. No thanks!!!!!
Im not totally against bringing in players with backage if I think they can help the team out. But this is a guy I want no part of.
The Jets dont need Owens we are headed for the Super Bowl and our WRs led the league in all statistics so I say NO.
I agree with you about Owens but lets not forget that Manny was part of one of the greatest" teams" we've seen in a long time
i dont see why not. we need a star player in new york. we need a player that can make a difference offensively. we have leon but he is not always on the field. i saw bring T.O. and lets deal with his shit, as long as he gets the job done. plus it would piss off even more giants fans.
If this the 2004 offseason, I would absolutely want him. Now he's just a good receiver who has a reputation for dropping the ball, complaining, crying, and adding unneeded drama. We have three of those things with Favre right now, do we need it from two players? Not to mention he's lost a step since being on the Cowboys.
very unscientific poll here... one question leads you into thread another is the poll question YOU, my friend, should be stripped of poll-making privileges...
