He did not say much. They put him in some bad situations. He will be on the entire show so expect to hear some more from him. Basically said he would rally around Favre if he came back or any other QB. haha. Marshall Faulk said the offense sucked, Schotty should be fired not promoted, TJ had no response. More to come......
Man, I feel bad for him. He's been put in a few awkward situations where he has no comment obviously. He must be pissed.
Yeah, I feel bad for him too. I like when Rich Eisen said "We will stop talking like you are not here now."
Thomas Jones says he is pissed that he is at home watching the playoffs. He hates watching the other teams. Thats why I like him so much.
Eisen also quipped about putting words in TJ's mouth LOL.... Eisen is a Jet fan and a Staten Island guy - so he's cool.
Jones is a beauty. I like how he called out Favre, someone had to do it... Faulk is a pretty bright guy too and I agree it's absurd that Schittenheimer's 16th ranked offense has gotten him HC consideration.
So TJ is toeing the company line. Do we have anyone on the team with the balls to state the truth? It's like a Congressional Steroid Hearing.
what nfl employee is going to spell it out for the fans?? that is a pipe dream that needs to be removed.
On a somewhat related note, if Schottenheimer was really the victim to Mangini's gameplans being forced on him, I really wish he would have said something to the press. There's no way that the fans wouldn't be 100% behind him if they knew that was actually the case. But as it stands, he's either an idiot or just spineless.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say an OC ragging on his head coach to the press would be a terrible career decision and possibly his last in that field of employment. It would have been nice to hear though..
I would like to see Shotty at a press confrence with the chalk board saying this was the plan I had and this is what that dope Mangini made me impliment. Mangini was an epic failure. I feel sorry for Brady Quinn, he's so screwed. The only thing dumber than Mangini's O was he was actually the least aggresive Defensive guy I have ever worked with. The guy made Sutton look like a defensive savant. Mangini isn't aggresive enough to coach girls field hockey let alone NFL football. I would like to thank the lord for this opportunity to be unshackled by that fat F. Any questions from the media?
I the history of the NFL, it has happened once or twice. I'm not asking for a curse laden tirade but a smidgen of truth would suffice. Coles is a respected team leader. I know he has an opinion. Where is it? Jones is a respected team leader. He has only mentioned a blurb about Favre on a radio show and has backpeddled since. If the picture was as great as the players have have painted it, why is Mangini gone? Let's see if and when the new coach takes over. I will be interested to hear if any of the fired coaches will shed some light on the subject.
I also liked what Woodson was saying that favre pretty much lost us the season at the end, which is true, he played like a douche bag.
