Brian S., Ryan and Spags. Nobody is more connected than Schefter. He said they may be waiting on Ryan but Schott has alot of support and believes Schott will be a very good head coach. I believe and have believed for awhile that Schott gets the job. Woody will have the courage to do the right thing.

Is hiring Schott the right thing?

Yes, Woody will have the COURAGE to do the right thing. I'm not worried about his heart. I'm worried about his brain.

 Correct, the real concern is whether Woody has any idea what is the right thing.

I don't see the love affair with Bryan Schott? What has he done to be "the right thing"

What? How about lining up a 40 year old quarterback with a broken wing in the shotgun 2 – 1 over the last five or six games and letting him hurl it as far as he could as opposed to wasting a play having Thomas Jones or Leon Washington run the ball for a measly first down.

Bud light should do a real men of genius commercial about him. Heres to you Shott junior…without your mastermind play calling down the stretch we might be watching football instead of typing about it on a message board.

I don't care about interviews---show me results. Spags and Ryan have results. Schitt has an interview. Just like Mangini had nothing on his resume. You cannot let Tannenbaum pick two guys in a row with no history of success.

Schitt. I can't believe I never thought of that one... Schitt is not the right thing and I will schitt my pants if he is our HC.

He's wrong. Just about every paper in NY is reporting the Jets' finalists are Spags or Ryan and that Brian will be retained at the OC.

If Woody is really looking for the "unpopular but right" move, he should hire Marty Schottenheimer and not his dimwit, always pass on 3rd and short, son Brian.

if they wanted Schott they would have named him the day after canning Mangini...

Rex is the man they want but if Spags and Rex pick other teams, then Schott is the HC.

I believe Rex wants the Jets to make his dad happy...

Forget the right thing Winning is the only thing we need to worry about. Parcells is the man I think he's waiting for ross to buy the fins then he'll take the 12 mill he's owed and run . rumors say he got the coaching itch again. and this team is set up perfect for his style. with a little fine tuna-ing and the picks to do it this may be what this team needs

I highly doubt Schott will get hired.I think a majority of Jets fans want him FIRED. So hiring him as a HC over Spags and Ryan (who have proven significantly more as coordinators) would create a major backlash.
