One thread on this was one too many.

The guy was going to hire a serial killer.

    Are you serious?

I should ban you right now.

according to PFT he is doing more crap enough for a lifetime ban

REPORT: SECOND 2007 SHOOTING FOR PACMAN
Posted by Mike Florio on January 7, 2009, 7:47 p.m.

    Well, well, well.

As we said when Pacman Jones was suspended by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for a year, if he can?t stay out of trouble when he has a job, he?ll never be able to stay out of trouble when he doesn?t have a job.

As it turns out, Jones didn?t stay out of trouble. The only glitch is that no one knew about it.

    Until now.

Ed Werder of ESPN reports that Jones? release came after the team became aware of allegations that Jones arranged for someone to shoot at three men outside an Atlanta strip club.

Jones was suspended not long after a February 2007 incident in Las Vegas involving bizarrely similar accusations.

The Atlanta incident reportedly occurred in June 2007, two months after the one-year suspension was imposed.

John Barr of ESPN?s Outside the Lines made the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys aware of the allegations while Barr investigated the incident ? and the information apparently resulted in the team?s decision to cut Pacman loose.

Although authorities in Atlanta are not actively investigating the matter, Jones presumably faces further discipline ? most likely a lifetime ban ? if NFL Security concludes that Jones was doing something that he shouldn?t have been doing, especially since he was only a matter of weeks into his one-year suspension.

Jones was a member of the Titans in June 2007, and remained part of the team until he was traded to Dallas in early 2008

its unfortunate he was a true talent in college

i wouldnt take him ever not because he is a dirtbag but because he seems fragile and hasnt proven a single thing on the pro level besides causing trouble

The last thing the Jets need right now is a locker room cancer and a legal problem waiting to happen.

I can't believe anyone voted yes. I can understand getting in a little legal trouble. Speeding ticket maybe caught with a little weed etc..

But guys like jones, and vick should be banned for life period.

Letting them have jobs after pulling stunts like these is like rewarding them for their bad behavior. If you can't keep your nose clean you have no business making 10mill a year.

Being rich and famous and playing a sport for money isn't enough? You need to arrange dog fights, shoot yourself in the leg like a retard, try to arrange hitmen? And then people want them representing their team in the NFL? I don't get it.

Their is no way the jets should go after him, i think he broke the sports record for most off the field illegal incidents this guy should be banned from the NFL.

I would think the chances are better that he will be playing on Vicks prison team next year then playing on any NFL team.

I also wouldn't put Vick in Pacman's league. Vick deserves a second chance. Pacman? Hell no.

Actually, the NFL was well aware of it but can't prove it. Nothing has changed, they still can't prove it so nothing will be done about it.

I say go for it....if he can perform on the field then we can use him....apparently our secondary needs a ton of help and he will come cheaper than the other corners available.

I'd take him for the league minimum in a second - he's amazing. I could give a shit about the off-the-field stuff as long as he's well behaved enough that the league lets him play.

Absolutely pay him the league minimum make his contract incentive laden, including his off the field behavior. Why shouldnt the Jets take a few guys off the scrap heap and benefit from it. Other teams do it and have success. Maybe its our time to try it.
