Have you watched the Jets over the years? Typical Chad? I really wonder what you guys watched while this guy was here.

 Montana in his prime couldn't have won w/ that OL. Give me some REAL examples or move on to a subject you may know a little better than this one.

    -1st FG was not off TO(tied 3-3)
-1st TD was obviously off TO(10-3 Bal)
-2nd FG was not off TO(13-3 Bal)
-2nd TD was not off TO(20-3 Bal)
-He did cost them points on 4th INT

    Potentially a 10 pt swing.

Yeah, he was getting hit before he even started to hand off but that's on Chad. Watch some football, learn a little THEN get back into football discussions.

    Thank you!

I'm not talking about no running game over the course of a season. I'm talking about a big game, like this one, where the D takes away the run; Chad fails. Other good QBs will find a way to win because they have that ability.

Peyton Manning didn't have a great running game this year, but didn't he win the MVP?

Peyton won the MVP b/c of his name then went out and lost to an 8-8 team in the playoffs.

I assume Chad is to blame for that McGahee run?

Getting rid of Chad was a good thing

Today shows Chad's true colors. He can't play the big games. This is a great day for me because now all the Chad fans have to eat their words! Getting rid of chad was the best thing that has ever happened to this team. Now we know that he can't win in the playoffs with any team he has. Goodbye Chad...have fun being a natural choke artist!

Yeah it would have been no fun having a bye this week or playing a home playoff game yesterday or today. It was much more fun choking away a season like Chad always used to do- oh wait Chad never did that and he took a 1 win team and won TEN MORE games for them to win a division title.

Most Jet fans deserve to lose, unfortunately I'm not one of them but I'm lumped in w/ them.

I don't disagree. I was against the Favre move from the beginning because the Jets should have moved on and developed a young QB this year. Bringing in Favre just wasted a year. A building team doesn't bring in a 39 year old gunslinger in an attempt to catch a bolt of lightning.

Yup, it was and getting Favre was a mistake, and cost us a 3rd rounder.

Without Chad's picks, Baltimore has 10 points before this drive.....

You can't seriously blame the defense here, can you?

    Give it up....

.. I thought so. And Herms response to why Brian Thomas? "He's fast, and you can't coach speed" Luckily, you CAN coach football, we just had to find out that herm couldn't and badway sux!!

Considering his picks only set but 1 TD please explain how they only have 10 before this drive? 20-7=13 and they'd be up 13-9 and Baltimore did just score again so it would be 20-9.

Chad didn't play well but he had no chance. Most people knew as they played tougher D's the medicority of the talent around him would come out. If they can't run how can they be expected to pass w/ Ted Ginn and Devon bess to throw to? I know you realize this.

Agreed Pennington crappy decisions only cost his team 10 and left his D out to dry. The fumble cost them another 3.

haha how did i know you would be the first to say something? A winning season is when you win the superbowl. Chad has been bad in the playoffs everytime he has played in them. Big deal he made a 1 win team into a 11 win team. The result in the end was that he can't win in the playoffs and will never ever win a superbowl with any team. Just get over the fact that Chad is gone, it was a good thing that it happened to us so we didn't have to mkae the playoffs and lose once again.

he had one BAD game before this and you can't get to a SB w/o getting to the playoffs. I'm jealous of Miami, I would much rather have lost this week than not make it and we had the talent to win in january unlike Miami.

Have I watched Chad? Yeah i've been a season ticket holder since 2002. Right when Chad became the starting QB of this team. I love Chad and always support him but this is typically what you get.

He gives you a lot of those "oh he almost pulled it out" games.

What did I watch while he was here? A great season in 02. A lost season in 03. Actually he came back and threw 13 TD's and 12 INT's. A good season in 04 but came up short against Pitt. Yes Brien missed 2 FG's but Chad didnt put the team in the end zone. Another lost season in 05. A good season against a soft schedule in 06 in which Chad threw 18 TD's and 17 Int's. And then pretty similar to what we are watching right now went into the playoffs and got killed. And then he played poorly in 07.

..actually no junc.. the question was asked of him outside the draft room in the context that thomas was not first round material. We already had a young DE picked in the first round. Ed Reed was sitting there with a ton of talent, leadership ability and national title winning experience. He responded by saying he picked thomas in the first round because he's fast, and you can't coach speed. I think their talent evaluation method was suspect in that instance
