That in my opinion is the best argument you can make. It was right to move on from Pennington but going to Favre probably wasnt the best decision. Chad throw is doing what he does best now. Putting together good drives when the team is down 17 because the D backs off some. He usually makes you think the team has a chance then turns the ball over or just comes up short.
He has no receivers to throw to, his top 2 RBs have run 15 times for 29 yds, his Ol can't protect. This has nothing to do w/ limitations. It's about a big time D exposing an O that had no business winning anywhere near 11 games. There's not a QB that has ever played the game that could have done anything against this Raven D w/ the WRs Miami has, the lack of protection and the lack of a ground game. We'd either be playing today or would have a bye had Chad still been here. Regardless of the outcome I'd rather lose in the playoffs than not make it.
The Miami D would have them in the game if it wasn't for the poor execution and poor decision making by the QB.
White Shoes you are welcome to your opinion but the reality is that we had Chad, Ratliffe and Clemons when Farvre became available after leading the Pack to 13-3 and the NFC Championship game. So we did what made sense at the time - gambled on Farvre. And guess what? - we improved dramatically - 5 more wins. But the team collapsed down the stretch due to many things including Farvre - but it was hardly all Farvre's fault which is what some idiots would like us to believe. Blame Farvre all you like but blame the defense, special teams, coaches and the rest of the offense too because they all sucked.
I disagree, If you dont make it to the playoffs on your strengths then you dont belong there. The Jets did not belong there. The FISH got there on a soft schedule and next year it gets alot harder and say goodbye to the high draft picks.
Is it me or did miami resort to chad's classic dink and dunk offense in the 3rd to get the ball moving?
... was that the yr we got Brian you can't coach speed Thomas? or Santana now you see him now you don't Moss? Either way, we lose as usual..
