Mangold is fantasic on our Line. Debrick would be too if he was taken in the second round instead of first because that is the talent level he has played at. Faneca is good but he is up in years and no longer worth the money he got but we had to give it to him. The other two are Serviceable. Coles is on borrowed time and not worth his prima donna attitude and cotch is a great #2 but neither is a game changer. Keller will be a good one. Tom Jones had a great year but he is on borrowed time due to age as well and we don't know if leon is big enough to be an every down back. We are good on Offense but Great wins Championships. Our Qb Situation has been a mess for years. On Defense Jenkins is a beast but I do not see his body holding up for the long haul. Rhodes, Harris and Pace are good and Revis will spend many years as a pro bowler. Prob is we have two scrubs at De, No saftey opposite Revis and 4-3 Lbs that can not pass cover. Shannahan wrote the book on how to beat us and every one else followed suit for the rest of the year. I don't care who is in the secondary with no pass rush or Cb opposite revis we are mediocre at best on Defense as well. In other words we are good enough to fight for a first rd playoff appearance at best. Cower wants a team that is ready to win the whole thing. We are not and it was proven to us.

The problem is that at Quarterback you have a veteran on the verge of retirement and an unproven commodity at backup in Kellen Clemens. EVERY team has several young players as a core to build around. Only a few teams have a truly Pro Bowl worthy QB to lead them into battle that you can trust. Favre never should have made the pro bowl and at this point you can't trust him to get the job done.

    Yes you can.

    Thats what coaches are for.

A coach like Parcells would have no compunction about benching Favre mid game, and playing Ratliffe.

Once Favre understands that he starts checking down like he's told, because he knows he doesn't want to end his career on the bench.

What Cowher has done, by having it leaked that Favre is the problem, is lessened himself as the coach...

One does wonder, if the Denver firing is what put this paradigm in play...the only problem is Cutler is a bigger (Read more long term)investment, and has as big, if not a bigger ego than Favre does....
