Paper legend? The Lombardi trophy isn't made out of paper. (and to avoid what your about to say next, he was part of that team very much, and got the MVP that year.)

It Doesn't require surgery so it will be 100% come june aslong as he rests it which i would assume he would. Dont really give a rats ass if he come's back or not. I rather go with Clemens or Rattliff.

Probably because he's not a legend because of Superbowls, he's a legend because of the way he plays, the way he is able to change players.

The pathetic thing is, getting Favre back is the best case scenario for us. We really have no decent options at QB. We hope Favre is better after injury is healed, full trianing camp, and try to get some young QB in 1st round of the draft with our own pick or trade up to get one. We are really stuck between rock and a hard place at QB, and old Favre seems like the best choice now, even after he singlehandedly ruined our season.

I'm so glad someone else picked up on this. It gets old after a bit.
I'm not against the Favre bashing as a whole, but most people on this board who do it, actually still have something intelligent and unrelated to add. Maybe contribute to at least one thread a week that isn't a Favre bash just to mix it up a bit. I went through Jade Green's last 4 pages of posts, every one of them could have easily been consolidated into one thread entitled "I hate Favre and everything is his fault."

It's irritating to try to read a thread and have every other post on every freaking thread have Jaded Green's intelligent assesment of:
    Favre Sux
    Favre's a bitch
    Farve blah blah blah...

We get it, your the kid who didn't get enough attention at the restaurant, so you scream at the top of your lungs until everyone stops what they're doing and pays attention to you.

Most Legends lead positive stat categories and are no where to be found on the negative ones.

Babe Ruth almost never struck out, either did Ty Cobb or Pete Rose.

Wayne Gretzky is not the leading guy in penalties or the minus category. Not even close!!! Either was Richard, Howe. Lemuiex, Messier, Hull, Orr, etc, etc etc.

Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Kareem, Magic Johnson, Wilt, Dr. J are no where near the give way leaders list or most fouls list.

Joe Montana never lost a super bowl, Marino, Elway, Kelly, Unites did not destroy the INT's records!!!

The list goes on and and on, Brett Favre costs his teams more then he gains them!!!

Comparing Favre to other players in other sports doesn't help your argument, especially considering it's widely accepted that Favre is a legend. You'll never find a more joyful, youthful, energetic QB in the NFL ever again.

BTW, Why is your life's mission to hate and bash on Favre?

This statement is proof that you don't have the slightest clue what your talking about. It's just your continued assanine attempt to have the most anti Favre posts on the message board. Congrats, you win.
Most people don't even know who the QB was for green bay before Favre. And for those who do, i really doubt they know who it was before Majkowski.
Brett Favre (with the help of Mike Holmgren, and some really talented players) put green bay back on the map. Prior to 1992 your chances of any store carrying any green bay packers items were about slim to none. Now they are everywhere. So while Favre may not have led GB to 16 consecutive superbowls, i think he did more for that team than your Favre bashing brain could comprehend.

Actually the way when he left the packers, their next season's record was 6-10 after nearly making it to the Superbowl. And then he came to the jets, who went from 4-12 to 9-7.

It's not and he is a legend, but he is no where close to legends in his own sport.

He's not in that Brady, Manning, Montana, Elway, Unites, Bart Star class!!!

And you are right he does not even come close to Legends in other sports!!!

If you ask anybody who doesn't regularly watch football about QBs in it, They would know Favre before half the people on that list. I also forgot Peyton manning has more then one superbowl.

Favre is one of the greats of the NFL, you can't hide behind your own lies forever.

You didn't really say Babe Ruth almost never struck out, did you? Did you really say that? I think you should retire from posting now.
