How many of you guys wanted to put your spikes on and go out there with the team after that.

That is what I thought, zero. That was the weakest attempt to try to rally a team that I have ever seen.

Totally agree. I stomached re-watching the game yesterday and when I saw that I was like wow, now I know why this team quit!!!!

    Fake, fake, fake.

I'm telling you. Woody put the heat on Mangini, that's the ONLY way I can see us constantly going empty backfield on 3rd&1/ 3rd&2 along with bailing on the running game & no QB Sneaks into the line!!!

    Something stinks real bad.

I almost forgot about that. I turned on the game, saw that crap and literally turned around and left the room. What an embarrassment.

Ewing "meant" his guarantees to win, and the Knicks still lost. Chad always "meant" his speeches, but his desire couldn't overcome a bum wing.

I'm sure Chad gave a bang-up Gettysburg address the night we blew the Steeler playoff game, and we still lost that one.

So...the crap pre-game speech though it may have been...we were up 17-14 in the game at one point. Exactly when did the speech kick in to ruin our chances?

I'm not going to lie, it did sound like someone going through the motions, but...I don't think the speech lost the game here guys.

And that's when I knew for sure that this team had no clue what was going on.

"Play your game, whatever that is?"

It was the most unbelieveable pre-game...big game speech...I've ever been a witness to. I know CBS was embarrassed by it. He basically said "WTF "....were getting paid anyway".

Sorta like the "Bad News Bears". Some kinda new Hindu karma ...mantra or something ???

    agree 100%

The best pre-game rally I heard this year was by Drew Brees before the Minnesota game.

As great as it was, it sure as shit did not work. The Saints lost the game.

Nobody said it lost us the game, but it was embarrassing!!!

Favre's 3 picks blew the game not his ass backwards retarded speech!!!

What a freaking loser, he really sounded like he wanted to be here, who would want that kind of lack of leadership back???

    Woody Freaking Johnson, that's who!!!

That just tells me that he is here to play, all he cares about. He doesn't care about what happens. Season, record, playoffs, fans, Superbowl, etc...

Win - Win situation for Woody & Favre. Wonderful. Woody makes money, Favre plays the game he loves, regardless of whatever performance he has, he still gets to play.

Sounds like the backyard pickup game speech my Uncle gave us when we played on Thanksgiving

Here's a word for word transcript since I have it recorded on DVR.

Aight fellas we know what we gotta do.
Let's just play our game, whatever that is.
Get back to what we were doing when we won 5 in a row.
Hey, if it works out it works out, if it doesn't it doesn't, all you can do is give your best.
    Aight, love you guys.
    Let's go, score on 3, 1-2-3...

For those of you that didn't see it, he said it with absolutely no conviction and without any intensity.
