We've heard his name come up last year for searches such as Atlanta and Washington. And he hasn't said he'll "never" coach in the NFL again. If the right opportunity is there...I really think he'd jump back in it to make a name for himself in the NFL ranks.

Carroll was 6-4 in 94' as Jets head coach...Then the disaster happened with Marino and the team spiraled. He went to Frisco to coordinate and had good seasons to get another chance in New England where he made the playoffs in 97 and 98, including a Division title in 97. Then he gets canned after going 8-8.

Carroll has energy, attitude, can handle the media since he coached in 2 major media outlets, gets respect from players, and most importantly is apart of the Parcells coaching tree.

I say give him another shot. I think he can work with Tannenbaum, and the man has a tremendous eye for talent, he knows who's great in college and will definitely bring some top college scouts with him.

    Bring back Carroll.

As a USC fan I would hate it, but as a Jets fan I'd love it. I have watched him grow so much since the mid nineties, and he could absolutely be a good NFL coach now. Hw wasn't so bad back then to be honest...

And let's mention the fact that he lost Norm Chow and Lane Kiffin to the NFL.

And who stayed strong? Pete Carroll. The man can coach.

Why in hell would he leave USC? He has total control and is treated like a King.

Because you know he still has the itch to coach in the NFL if the right situation popped up. He's never denied it.

It isn't like he'd quit either. He was fired twice, both to me were unwarranted.

He is a god in USC, he has no reason whatsoever to go to the NFL against especially back with the Jets

And I would like him more than Pee Wee Herman too.

But no, come on. Way too gay for what we need to accomplish now.

Yeah, under Leon Hess...Who made the genius decision to bring in Kotite after letting go Carroll.

    So what?

Carroll is a total pussy and always has totally undisciplined teams. We don’t need any more new-bees, NFL wash-ups or college superstars.

    Tell you what...

Get me the Starter jacket he's wearing on eBay somewhere and I'll be content...

That's the logo that should be on the Jets helmet.

the problem with bringing in Pete Carroll is that the rules of the universe dictate that we would have to replace him with Rich Kotite afterwards. I'm sorry, those are the rules, I didn't make them.

Carroll may consider the job if there is a basketball court at the Florham Park facility.
