According to Clayton Cowher said he wants to bring his own man in as GM & Woody refused. This means Woody choose Tanny over Cowher. I wonder how many SBs wins Tanny will be coaching for us

What the hell... Step aside Tannenbaum and learn from the best! I'm sure your boy Favre's cleets could use some cleaning! That would give you something to do for the NYJ organization.

I am sick to my stomach......How the fuck is Woody so blind? Tanny brought Favre here and Favre was a failure. Tanny should share just as much blame as Mangini! FIRE TANNY and bring in COWHER

If i learned anything this season, it is that i take everything i hear with a grain of salt.
Do you really think Woody would let Cower walk, if that's the thing that is standing in his way?
Cower would sell PSL's, not Tannenbaum

I would love to have Cowher as a coach, but I think Woody is right that being coach and making all personnel decisions is too much for one guy. Just ask guys like Shanahan and Holmgren how easy it is to wear both hats. Tanny has shown himself to be a creative GM who drafts well and can lure top free agents to the team. Sure, not every move has worked out perfectly, but they never will. There are other great candidates out there besides Cowher. It's not the end of the world if he doesn't come here.

This is were the owner needs to stand the fuck up, and take charge of his team! He tells Tanny that his role will change as of today, take it or leave it, and announce that Bill Cowher is the man in charge. Simple as that.

No, no no all Cowher wanted to do is bring in his own man to replace Tanny as GM. Cowher WAS NOT going to handle both positions

Let Cowher & Crew write the grocery list and Tannenbaum deal with the finances/contracts!

If not, send Mike T on vacation with Mangini!

I'm sure it's not going to be a dealbreaker. Money talks and in the end number one has to look out for number one. The best possible compromise happens when both sides make consessions.

Clayton was also the guy said there was no way that Faneca would sign with the Jets and Favre would refuse a trade to the Jets. So lets wait for some more details.

Who knows what is true but the OP says Cowher wants "to bring in his own GM", not be the GM.

All I am doing is reporting at what Clayton aired about 1/2 hour ago on ESPN & it must also have been aired on the NY ESPN radio station as well. He also confirmed that BC & Woody had been in contact with each other

Could be a negotiating point for Johnson too. If he offers enough money Cowher may "overlook it". If not he can always do something else in a few days. If I was Cowher, or any coach, I could care less about being GM as long as I had final say on player decisions. Let the GM do the dirty work.
