Code: According to the Newark Star-Ledger, Dolphins VP of Football Operations Bill Parcells is telling those close to him that he would consider coaching again if the right situation comes about. Parcells has an out in his contract if Wayne Huizenga sells the Fins to current co-owner Stephen Ross. ESPN reported Sunday that Parcells might jump to another team as GM, but the Star-Ledger says the Tuna would also be interested in coaching the talent he evaluates. Any team pursuing Parcells would obviously have to realize he's a short-term solution. If Parcells does return to the sidelines, the Jets would appear to be his best fit. Parcells is a definite possibility but....You guys need a stable coach that's gonna be here for years...Just my humble opinion.
The Real queastion is does Parcells have the itch to rip my heart out agian and just get up and leave ???
omg just imagine! Parcells as GM and Cower as HC!!!! That would be the best thing in the world. We would go to the superbowl atleast 5 times lol
That would be the topper - an egomaniacal washed up coach who can't stay in one place more than a year or two with an egomaniacal QB who can't decide to stay retired making one more run at a ring and leaving the team in 2010 or 2011 in a complete shambles. We've been there done that with Parcells and with Favre and I don't want anything to do with either. Isn't it time the Jets had some stability??
Washed up coach? Parcells is better than 90% of coaches out there today. He is the reason miami is doing well.
I'd love it. Huge BP fan. But I just can't see him leaving to divisional rival Jets just one year after building up Miami.
Parcells got Miami a good coach and a jolt of energy, which got them to the playoffs. His job is done.
What I do remember is that when Parcells left here pretty much the majority of the board despised and hated him for it. It is funny what a little time will do to soften hearts. I've always been a fan of the guys, and he pulled this franchise out of the abyss it was in when he came here, but I don't want a guy who's only going to be here a year or two. I also don't see him going back to old ground. I'd see him in a place like Detroit.. pulling a complete losing team out and making them respectable. That is what he does.
Why are all of you asking for such heartache? We have been down this road once before and it ended very badly. IMO I don't want to repeat that same feat. Live and learn applies to this situation. We need a long term answer, stability. I'm tired of all this one hit wonder talk.
