We are slow big team that neither runs the ball that well, stops the run and we can't defend a running back TE or a No. 2 WR 3 yards past the LOS. We had our DL blown off the line of scrimage against the back up OL of a 3 win team in a must win situation in Seattle. We have sucked at running the ball for 3 straight weeks. We have a stud Center and Free Safety who looked like NFL scrubs down the stretch of this season.

We passed on numerous big time QB's and with the highest draft pick this team has had in years blew it again. The Coaching has been bad but after watching the Pats and Miami down the stretch the idea that we have more over all talent is absurd at this point.

    Mike Smith.
    Tony Sparano.
    John Harbaugh.

If this was a year ago and you heard those names, would you have thrown up?

Morris will be the Buccaneers defensive coordinator next season. He's probably a head coach somewhere within five years, though.

    Why MANGINI was fired.

Hey heading into the season, Mangini had one good and one bad season. A lot of people thought that he needed two out of three to last here, and it wasnt just two out of three over .500, he needed another playoff appearance.

In three years, we got ONE away playoff game. That's no home playoff games for Woody, who btw is a capitalist. Not that there's anything wrong with that. There isnt. Woody is certainly more qualified to own this team than Caroline Kennedy is to be a senator. We dont know if she's a capitalist becuase she never had a real job. She did graduate from law school, but so have a lot of bottom feeders.

In 06, the team finished 6-2 after the bye and then got spiked out of the POs by the Pats. Pennington had an outstanding season and things fell into place with a favorable schedule. One and done in the POs, though.

In 07 the patsies went 16-0, which made the Jets' 1-8 start not too appetizing for the Owner. This came in the wake of Cameragate, and a very disruptive TC with the Kendall fiasco, which at the time was a huge deal. It really was. it knocked the team off-stride, and the HC never got it back. Bender? LLOL! Then he had the Vilma controversy, and there was grumbling in the locker room at various points in the season from several sources.

So they ended up a dismal 4-12.

So now we go for two out of three- and Woody the capitalist spends a shitload of money improving weak areas of the team. Faneca, Woody, Jenkins, Pace. He had already gotten TJ after trying a few other guys who couldnt fill the hole left by Martin's retirement, he guaranteed Coles' money, and then got Favre.

So there were some expensive pieces in place, and the third year needed to produce some payback for the Woodman. He wanted more than selling Favre jerseys.

At 8-3 and after beating the Tians, things were looking pretty good, and no one's job was in jeopardy. Fast forward five weeks later- 9-7, home for the holidays, no income producing home playoff games, no division title, just penguin excrement all over the place.

But here's the thing. The Man sets the bar, not the fans, and not the coaches, and apparently that bar was set at making the playoffs, and getting a home playoff game.

That didnt happen. So we got one measley road playoff game in three years which produced no income for Woodster, and he wanted a better return on his investment, especially if the grumbling was true (which I have been saying all along it was- there was plenty of disharmony in Mangina's lockerroom) and he wasnt really very popular with a lot of the guys, and definitely wasnt motivating them to play balls to the walls on Sundays, regardless of how well or shitty they practiced during the week.

Something had to give, and it was the HC's job.

So sayonara, shalom, au revoir, see ya, hasta luego, ciao, and no, you wont be back anytime soon. Exit stage right, and bring in the next auditioner.

He was on his back because someone kicked his wallker out from under him. The pass was ALWAYS completed,....to the other team...but did that ever mean anything to Brett? Could he have suffered from what Ferguson did for Buffalo in the early 80's?? Cmon Champ...it is the reason why Buffalo's helmets are red...good trivia if u were watching football 25 years ago....please save me the "how long I've been watching the Jets" spiel...I like u as a poster, enjoy your sarcastic critical comments, and look forward to any insight you have to offer as to who we could ACQUIRE (coaching OR player) instead of telling us all who we shouldn't have.

And don't mention players or coaches that are impossible to get, dead, or completely made up on a Madden game. This includes players/coaches that are in the middle of contract, were free agents before but we missed, or are like a friggin 98 on Madden... These have to be REAL, AVAILABLE PEOPLE.
