Like most of you I am listening to the WFAN and Banks has been on talking about the Jets off season situations. He personally thinks Marty is a better fit than Cowher because of the motivation he provides. I listen to Sirius a lot, Marty co-hosts one of the shows and I love the guy, but.... The fans on this board would jump down Martys throat and say "Marty Ball" the second they run a draw on 3rd and 15, this guy would NOT get a legit shot in NY...I personlly am on board with Marty. At least he can get us TO the playoffs to lose.
Your right, he would probably come cheaper, I hoping Herm gets fired just so we can see him on the Coors light commerical. A Herm rant is sorely missing.

Cowher is the obvious choice but unlikely. My next choice would be Spags, he doesn't have HCing experience but is experienced. He was the brains behind the Giants SB championship and has proven that he can devise a scheme to shut down the Pats. I'm on the Spags train!
PLUS, I'd have to assume he would look to retain his son, and I'm hoping there was more than just one firing this morning.
The next coach of the JETS is ..... and Coach that will allow the GM & Owner to Keep Favre as long as he's marketable. That is the wrong approach. As I said before, thename on the back is not more important than the name on the helmets. Woody thinks otherwise.
The thing is T, hes NOT going to be marketable if he plays like he did the last month of this season. I hope they're not that stupid.
