Ya know, if they had an injured QB, why the fuck were they so predominantly passing? Especially when you have a top 5 rusher on the team? It's mind boggling, really. That was his achilles heal right there: Benching rookies and still pushing a future HOFer after he was injured. Double standards are the quickest way to lose a team.
Does anyone remember how many years Cowher didn't win a Super Bowl in Pittsburgh? Not to mention, a new staff means changes to player personnel, which means all that "talent" we supposedly have won't necessarily be there next year. And that's not mentioning that this is the New York Jests. The franchise sucks. The Darksiders are right.
I think Cowher stays away...for now -- probably bummed that the Panthers turned things around especially that he lives in NC. I do think Woody makes the inquiring call though. My guess is that they're doing this now so that they can talk to Spagnuolo and Jim Swartz during the bye week. Question - who will be the Rooney Rule candidate?

And I think part of Mangini's downfall was the refusal to admit to a rebuilding process even though half the personnel were turned over in two years time. We have to rebuild sometime, new coach is a good time.
The Mike and Mike Show are discussing it. Yes!!! Great move. I am glad Woody made the move as quickly as he did.
I think giving Callahan the job would be the very worst move. This definitely stinks of something bad lurking.
