um lets see...how about favres' two interceptions against BUF led to them having good field position and putting out a tired defense. And SF by throwing a costly INT and NO passing touchdowns and making the Niners look like the Steel curtain.
You need to back off. Hes making points. Just because you dont agree with them, doesnt mean you have to trash him. People like you dont make this board enjoyable.
none of you guys are going to prove me wrong on this fact EVERY LOSS THIS SEASON IS MORE ATTRIBUTED TO FAVRE'S PLAY THAN MANGINI'S COACHING. Now I know some of the play calling was awful, but it was Favre's shitty play that brought us down
I'm not saying Brett is not at fault for this season, but I think its pointless to worry about him because he's going to retire (if he somehow doesn't retire then thats a different story). Yes he did throw a lot of interceptions, but how can you explain the collapse on the defensive side of the ball? Weren't we 4th best rush defense at one point? I'm also not understanding where this thread is going. Are you saying this is Brett's fault or just not Mangini's fault?
i'm saying that it is bretts fault if mangini gets fired. This disappointing end is not Mangini's fault, each of the shitty losses are attributed to Brett's poor play. I mean, our defense is still seventh against the rush. We did not lose because of our defense. In some cases, the defense played poorly because they had to keep going out there after another Favre turnover, and either having to deal with fatigue or poor field position. They are not to blame
You may be allright with a 9-7 record and not making the playoffs but I'm not. You make it seem as if we were 3-8 and finished at 9-7. The fact is we were 8-3 and lost to 4 teams that didn't make the playoffs to finish 9-7 and 3 of had records of .500 or worse. Yes there is something to build off of but it won't or shouldn't be Mangini doing that building. He had that team handed to him this year and he lost control. That's not Favre's fault it's the coaching. Juding by your argument you never played or have watched the game very much because you have little understanding of how the game is played.
Once again, how is it the COACHING'S fault that Favre threw those costly turnovers that essentially lost us games. Besides Favre, the team that was "handed" to Mangini played fine! We have 7 pro bowlers. I dont know how Favre made it but seven pro bowlers is something to build off of. You guys are not going to get me on this one.
Haha this kid is funny. Week17 so u put the 7 losses on favre alone, are u giving him sole credit for the wins? Oh wait magini just out coached everyone on those 9 wins right? Yes favre didn't play well but if mangini gets fired and I hope he does, its his fault only. Favre didn't choose to stop running the ball towards the end of the season and he did not choose to forget that blitzing isn't a penalty. You sir are an idiot and obviously never played football at any level or understand it. Please go back into hiding and stop posting here.
you have to admit Favre really sucked vs the Seahawks last week and the fins this week HE destryed our playoff chances had it not been for these two losses. today, HORRIBLE. I hope he retires and stay put. I hope the Jets can get over this gamble. i saw Manginis face when he threw that first INT. He said "what the hell was that?" meaning...Favre is out to lunch with these bizarre throws, granted the guy has a better arm than Chad..but WTF?
Even if that was true it doesnt matter. Favre is the QB of the team Mangini coaches. Brett Favre is Eric Manigni's QB. I'm sure he had some say in bringing Favre to the Jets. Favre deserves a lot of blame but Mangini deserves every bit as much and more for his screwups in other areas on this football team.
I agree to some extent - but Mangini still has to take full responsibility based on what happens on the field.
Sucks against the Seahawks? Who the hell calls 38 passing plays in a god damn snow/sleet storm! WHO DOES THAT!?! Thats not on Farve, thats on our coaching staff. If we ran the ball every fucken down in that game against the Seahawks I bet my life we would have came away with a win.
For starters Favre doesn't call the plays, that's one on the coaching. Yes he may have made some really bad plays and I'm not saying he was our savior either but 1 player doesn't win or lose a game. It's a team game and you win and lose as a team. Favre didn't decide to pull the kicker back to sidelines in Seattle after he had already made a FG that would have been good from 60. He didn't decide to go for it on 4th and 3 from the Seahawk 13 late in the game either. You mentioned the 49er game. It wasn't Favre out there that made Sean Hill look like the 2nd coming of John Elway either. I don't believe it was Favre that gave up over 400 passing and 100 rushing yards to Matt Cassell and if I remember correctly it was Favre who drove the team down the field in OT for the winning TD.... was it not? You can place some of the blame on Favre but to say that none of it is on the coaching staff is ridiculous? I'm just curious to see how your mind operates? Who should take the blame in Detroit for that team going 0-16?
what are you talking about? noon s is trashing anyone.. you need to back off with stupid statements lol... calm down... seriously im not here to fight with anyone. people need to have opinions, .. thanks for the advice to back off, after i didn't say anything, i appreciate it. lol
