I think they should promote, Sutton. He has HC material written all over him.

Not sure at this poiny. But I don't consider this a "name someone better before firing" scenario. They choked hard after having the #2 seed in their sights. That cannot go unpunished.

of course this can't go unpunished, but likely do you risk the future of your franchise by reshuffling the coaching staff and bring in a Spagnolo who now is faced with the challenge of reshuffling the entire roster to get players that fit his system?

I doubt someone who took a break from coaching would want to get thrust into the media frenzy that is new york

I think you overestimate how much of a nuisance that really is to a head coach.

The Jets offer Cowher a team that is built to win now and with a 3-4 defense which is what he likes to run. What team that is about to have their head coach fired has a better roster than the Jets?

Further, Cowher is flexible enough to make the team work with the personnel it has, rather than have to totally overhaul. In his first season he'll weed out all nonhackers who aren't fit to serve with our beloved Jets.

And unconfirmed, but I believe he is from around this area to boot.

So the no Cowher premise = fail.

    Bill Cowher
    Steve Spagnuolo
    Rex Ryan

I would be ecstatic with any of those 3. Probably in that order, though.

O.K. The only guy better on my list is Cowher. But Jim Schartz the DC of Tenn. deserves a look. I really don't want to play the 3-4/4-3 game again. Jim Fassel anyone? Went to a SB, loves NY. If you gave me Mangini, brought in Romeo and fixed some of the offensive mistakes I think we'll be OK. I don't want Marty, he would get killed here.

Leslie Frazier and Jim Schwartz- those are my top two guys now that SF had to fire Mike Nolan when they did.

(I was hoping Nolan would last the full year, thus possibly making Singletary available at this time. So much for that.)

I would take a good look at Billick, Rex Ryan, and - just for insanity's sake - Mike Leach.

I can coach this team better. Mangini's break downs we epic. I am sorry but he should be fired.
Bring in anyone with guts to call plays that will win the game. 1 time out to save a penalty
    does not save his job.
